    Summary

    She remembered, then, and her grim humor dampened further. 'Ah! And not even that, for I have deserted my post to find my brother. And find him I did, only to learn he is again to depart from this world once his task is done. Was it all for naught?'
    Intent on dispelling the shivers that assailed her, Percival took her hands and warmed them in his. At last she looked away from the White Mountains, and looked instead to her companion. The beginnings of a beard clung to him like frost, and his likewise pale hair resembled the mountainpeaks. Though not yet wise, he had begun to look the part.
    He repeated, 'Was it?' and the truth was plain to her.

    In the appendices to the Red Book of Westrunn, Scanlan Shorthalt included a section describing the legendary romance between the Captain of the Rangers of Ithilien and Isildur's heir. Here follows the tale of Vex'ahlia and Percival.

    Summary

    Vox Machina had earned the attention of the gods and that was something undeniable to the people of Tal’Dorei. Four of the group had already been claimed by the Everlight, the Matron of Death, the Dawnfather, and the Knowing Mistress.

    That left three for the remaining gods to potentially claim and while two were obvious choices, the third came as a surprise...

    ~~~~~~~
    Death isn’t the end for Vox Machina. Heroes would come in the future, but the gods were ready to make sure that their legend is far from over.
    Summary
    Éowyn woke up, robbed of her glorious death, to find that she was yet again a prisoner. Watching her brother march away, she finds the healing she did not know she needed in the form of two companions: her soldier in arms Meriadoc Brandybuck and the new Steward of Gondor Faramir. Those days in the Houses of Healing opened her heart, and finally she knew what was in it. As they await the fate of Middle Earth, their healing runs deeper than the wounds and shadows.
    [Note] I was unsatisfied with the end of the Faramir/Éowyn arc, so this is written in intimate 3rd person so we can walk through Éowyn's mind and see the changes that felt abrupt in the book seed, grow, then blossom as she gets to know Faramir in the House of Healing, and comes to see that she wants to be a healer, and that she loves Faramir.
    And of course, the works of Tolkien do not belong to me.
