    “Is it all true? Did you really tell Midoriya to kill himself?”

    And there it was. Everyone asks shitty questions, but never the right ones.

    Bakugou looked him in the eye. He’d answer the shitty ass question. It didn’t matter; everyone had already made their decisions about it.

    “I did.”

    “Dude,” Kirishima intoned, sounding disappointed and horrified. And then his face turned into disgust. “That’s… You’re messed up bro.”

    That’s when Bakugou knew he had actually lost a friend.

    Or-
    Class 1-A finds out that Bakugou had bullied Midoriya. They don't know the full story but that doesn't matter to them. What matters to them was that they now think their classmate is a villain. And they were going to do everything in their power to treat him like one too.

    "So why should I be the one to go?! You’re the teacher! The Hero!! What good could someone like me do?!”

    “Izuku.” The man’s voice was harsh, and made the younger man’s eyes focus on his friend. His eyes softened. “It must be you. You’re not who you were back then. You aren’t useless. Remember this: You are a Hero. And the world is counting on you—even if nobody realizes it. Here. When the time comes... give this to him. You'll know he trusts you when he calls you 'Problem Child.'" He smiled fondly, handing Izuku a pair of rings on a chain.

    ~~~~~~~
    When the world ends, their only hope is to send one Quirkless man back in time. Back in his 14-year-old body, will Midoriya Izuku be able to save the world that shunned him all his life? And will he finally be able to become a hero this go around?
    Good thing he had time as a vigilante to practice.
    “Midoriya also wants to go to Yuuei.”
    At this statement, Izuku’s classmates mocked him and on any other day, he would have taken it. But getting hit with a quirk while watching a villain fight before school changes the scenario.
    In which Izuku’s class learns you don’t need a quirk to take someone down a peg.
    Slow updates.
    After All Might gives Izuku a much needed reality check, he has to find a new dream. When he learns that the support course at UA offers an emphasis in Intelligence and Analytics, it sounds like the perfect new passion for him to throw himself into.
    Who knew? Maybe Hero Analysis for the Future was never meant for his future as a hero, but for his future helping heroes...
    This fic has a discord.
    Bookmarker's Notes
    This is what boku no hero should have been. Well, not *really* really but making Izuku fight by smarts and not brute strength is much better characterization for him, and I love his every interaction with Mei. I don't really agree with Shinsou/Ochako but it makes some sense here. Still don't think they really match but I can see it here. But anyway, thank you very much for writing this, as I'm not sure anyone else will ever write a story like this with such finesse again.
