He stumbled, almost falling over at the familiarity of it because Jason did the same thing and he’s not here anymore and it’s too much and he might fall over because Bruce misses him so goddamn much-
And then the figure looked up and flashed a crooked grin before jokingly stating

Dick could still see it when he closed his eyes. The bright circus lights, the hush that fell over the crowd whenever Mami and Tați performed. And then that beautiful terrible flash of orange flame that came from the crowd. The smell of burning rope and the look on Tați’s face when he saw Mami fall. And then his own hands reaching out, bending as hard as he could, screaming as he tried to save them-
But in the end, he was just a self-taught airbender.
He couldn’t save them.

Peter Parker has a complicated relationship with field trips. Oscorp was debatable - while getting spider powers and becoming a superhero was pretty cool, he totally thought he was going to die when he was puking his guts out all night. Then there was the whole DC fiasco with the Vulture, and his trip to MOMA got interrupted by a giant purple grape who started an intergalactic war, so when Mr. Harrington announced the field trip to Coney Island, he was understandably anxious.

The war with Erawan is over. Dorian successfully forged the lock and destroyed Erawan, but many of the Valg and Erawan's beasts remained in Erilea. For the past 3 years, Aedion has been leading Terrasen and the rest of their allied armies to rid the world of the remaining Valg, and 2 months ago, they finally succeeded. With the majority of the fighting done, Aedion, Rowan, Lysandra, and the rest of Terrasen’s court have finally been able to go looking for their lost queen. But will she still be the queen they lost, or has she shattered into someone unrecognizable?

A Batman/Avatar crossover. Focused on the Bats in a modern world where bending and benders are commonplace. Mainly using lore from Avatar: The Last Airbender, but there may be references to certain parts of the Legend of Korra.
Prior knowledge of Avatar is recommended, but not necessary to read the series. While most of the works can be read as stand-alones, there will be references to other works in the series throughout so I'd recommend you read them all for the best experience/understanding of the plot/world building.
Series and work titles are inspired by the song "Hold the Line" by Avicii
