Having the two biggest stars in the league on the same line is great for Boston — but playing alongside their worst rival was never exactly in Shane or Ilya's plans. Especially not when staying away from each other starts to feel just as impossible as getting along.

“Were you spying on me? You were, weren’t you?” Natsu accused. He ignored the pain in his head to whirl around and try to check the back of his t-shirt for any bright red feathers. He shook the shirt out, lifting it up in front and back to check underneath it. Who knew how many of those stupid, whisper-soft feathers could have ever-so-conveniently attached themselves to him?
“You seemed really down when you left. I just wanted to make sure you were gonna be alright.”
Despite the comforting tone of Hawks’s voice, Natsu noticed his words weren’t, ‘Yeah, that was fucked up of me, I’m sorry.’ He let his shirt fall back into place with a heavy sigh. “You think you have any right to do that?”
