    Ah, can understand the consistency part, I suppose🤔 Both sounds are really fun and cute, though (and weirdly, noises that wolves cannot possibly make... so a bit strange they're used in a werewolf inspired universe🤔) *Tilts head in confusion* ...but... tigers CAN'T purr... they don't have the right throat structure, same as the other big cats. Are you sure you're not thinking of chuffing?

    Here's a video I managed to find of a tiger chuffing, is this what you were thinking of? (I swear I'm not trying to nitpick, I'm just a bit confused😭)

      It is funny that a universe type that is based around werewolves has purring as an option when canines don't purr. But I guess it goes to show that the dynamic is more than just canine-based.
      Oooh. I thought they could purr because I heard the chuffing in videos and mistook it for purring. Huh. Learned something new. Got it. I do appreciate you letting me know because that is interesting. I didn't know chuffing sounded so much like purring in bigger felines.

        Could also be because a lot of the ways wolves express happiness, contentment and the like all rely more on body language, usually, which doesn't work as well in cuddling situations, so that's why some feline traits were added into the A/B/O universe🤔 (Being someone who adores both canines and felines, I am not complaining about such a mixture😆)

        So that's where our wires were getting crossed!😆 Glad to get that cleared up and give you a fun new factoid!😄 ...course now I'm just realizing the blog that helped me with my introduction into the A/B/O fandom contradicted itself with the noises they listed Alphas made (it lists 'chuffing' as separate from 'rumbling', while in fact the rumbling noise big cats make is a form of chuffing when the big cat is happy/content/etc., or a form of growling when unhappy/on guard/etc. I learn so many new things myself when trying to make sure I'm not spouting nonsense in AO3 comments... well, assuming I'm Googling correctly😅🤣)
