    Summary

There is a broken king in the ashes of his homeland.

Arda has seen seven ages pass. Three long ages lasted the time of the elves, whose fading from the lands gave rise to the dominion of men. By the fourth age, no more than a few elves remained in Middle Earth, in Greenwood the Great, home to the line of Oropher and kin to Elendil King. But the lives of men are quicker than those of elves; they burn brighter than the stay of memory. And so, with the passing of the fourth age, elves turned from legend to myth, and were by all but forgotten by the realms of men – until men too dwindled and by the seventh age were no more than a shadow people across the barren lands.

There is one still, who endures. One who remembers. Thranduil, son of Oropher, once Elvenking, and now long forgotten by those who entombed him and alive long still after their deaths. For millennia, he has been chained in the caverns beneath his kingdom, unable to escape, unable to fade, unable to die.

But freedom is to come in the most unlikely of ways.

In which a traveller of worlds comes to Middle Earth, recognising it as a fiction from her home world. In which she frees one surly Elvenking. In which she (inevitably) falls in love.

    Summary

Harriet Potter was twelve years old when she uncovered the child's skull buried in her Aunt Petunia's garden in a sick twist of fate. It was safe to say her life hadn't been the same since when, upon closer inspection, Severus Snape discovered the skull belonged to Harriet Potter, who had died at age two.

Plots, purebloods, and prophecies abound in a world where, on a stroke of luck, a Potter isn't there to fight the good fight.

Only a misplaced Malfoy who, really, never suited red and gold as much as she did silver and green.

    Summary

Thranduil was there at the Siege of Barad-dûr during the War of the Last Alliance, the uncrowned king of his people after the fall of Oropher. He saw the ring cut from Sauron's hand, he saw the will of men fail, and he knew Elrond's lack of heart to force Isildur's hand. For all their loss and pain, Sauron lived on.

2,900 years later, a hobbit, of all things, turns up in his halls, that same ring clutched in her slim fist as she sends a captive company of dwarves whizzing away down the Forest River to wake a dragon's fury, her too-familiar eyes staring back into his before she vanishes out from under his nose.

Utterly shameless rewrite of The Hobbit and into LotR territory, because I wanted to read something that didn't exist. Slow burn as in paired-characters-don't-meet-until-probably-20-odd-chapters-in. Title updated 3/2/19.

    Summary

“Potter! What have you done?” And there was the crux of it. I could feel his panic edging into my mind and suddenly I remembered everything. Oh Merlin, what had I done?

My name is Harielle Potter, and today I faced Death and made a decision that changed everything. Now I'm lost with my least favorite professor and eleven unhatched dragon eggs in a desolate icy wasteland with no way to get home. And, oh yeah, I may have intentionally turned Snape into a dragon, who is very much not happy. But that was to save his life...so a thank you would be nice. I've no food, except if you count the dead half of the Horntail, which: gross. Snape is being a spectacular asshole, which isn't new but very much unhelpful! We've got to find a way to get home, or shelter...or something. I'm afraid we might die out here if we don't.

Perhaps Death was right, maybe I should have boarded the other train. But I'm a Gryffindor, god damnit, and I will get through this. Now only if I can get Snape to just fucking help, maybe we have a chance. And I swear, if we get out of this, I will never ever talk back to him again. And apologize to Hermione because she really did tell me so. I truly do have the absolute worst plans.
