The words die in Shouto's throat.
Calling Midoriya’s apartment a wreck would be charitable. Compartments in the walls have been torn out, leaving splintered wood and crowning all over the floor. Chairs overturned with their cushions ripped out, lamps knocked over, a smoldering ruin of… something, piled in one corner. Smoke hangs heavy in the air, thick and unforgiving.
“What the fuck,” Bakugou breathes.
Bruce doesn’t like to credit one thing for saving his life, but if he did, it would be Haly’s Circus that Friday night in September, just as summer was beginning to die.
(He'll always be a sucker for kids with sad eyes, no parents, and more fight than the world knows what to do with.)
Or: in a universe where superheroes don't exist, Bruce Wayne finds his family.

A sentinel could spend most of their early years without a guide. By their mid-thirties if a sentinel had yet to form a bond with a guide their senses would start to lose focus and precision until they became overwhelmed and went insane.
Tony was in his forties and the bond he had was a thin string that could be snapped with just one word, and it was the only reason why Tony wasn’t locked up in an asylum for sentinels.
Even with his bond though, Tony was deteriorating, unable to control his senses and becoming overprotective of his teammates.
If he didn't increase the strength of his current bond or find a new guide who he could bond better with then he would be locked up for life.
Too bad Starks have a history of having trouble bonding, and Tony's already tried every technique to strengthen his bond with his guide.
Oh, and let's not forget his guide was none other than Mr. Perfect himself: Steve Rogers.
So really? Tony was screwed unless those bonding techniques started working, because who the hell else could bond with him and do it better than Mr. Perfect?

The day of the Hero Incident ends much more horribly than anyone could've imagined, but only Izuku knows that. He thinks as long as he forces himself to push through it that he can get over it, but of course, that's not how things go. His mom, friends, teachers, and even his childhood friend-turned-rival take note of his odd behavior and try to help, but he refuses to talk about what really happened. How long and how thin will Bakugou's patience go until Izuku finally confides and accepts the help he needs?
(in this fic, Shigaraki takes more from Izuku than he should've, Katsuki comes with the class that day at the mall, and there are still finals to be taken. Plenty can happen in only five to six weeks.)

As it turns out, learning that your house is haunted makes the ghosts a lot more aggressive. Who knew?
Ah, well. At least one of them is hot. And he's the less-evil one, too, so that's always a plus.
