“You’re literally teammates with world-class athletes,” Osamu says. “Just pay one of them to pretend to date you for a night.”
Atsumu flops back against the couch in disappointment. Why does he go to Osamu for anything? Osamu’s always been the inferior brother. “That’s a stupid fucking idea,” he says. “Who would I even ask?”
    --
    “No,” Sakusa says.
“I haven’t even said anything yet!” Atsumu protests.

    Summary

Miya Atsumu has a teasing smile and a special interest in exoplanets of similar size to Earth; stars plastered on the ceiling of his childhood bedroom, a hoodie so worn there’s a hole in the sleeve.

Two outsiders; two people, longing for a way home, who found each other.

Atsumu loves outer space, and Kiyoomi loves him. It’s logic at its most basic; no quadratic formulas needed.

In the summer of his sixteenth year, Sakusa Kiyoomi meets Miya Atsumu at the local planetarium.

    Summary

Kiyoomi closes his eyes, slowly. He prays that the ground opens up and swallows him whole. He prays that a whole earthquake rocks Tokyo and brings the place down on him, specifically. He prays that some higher power decides to strike him with lightning right this minute.

“Actually,” he says, grinding it out through clenched teeth, “you haven’t seen any other kids around, have you?”

It's Kiyoomi's last resort to ask a stranger for help finding his sister's missing kids, but it's not like this night can get any weirder, and Miya Atsumu's kind of hot.

my dumbass thought this was a dark fanfic about tsumu and omi chasing down childnappers all throughout tokyo bc they took omi's nieces and nephews but it's rlly just 44k of struggling and thirsty as FUCK omi and hot stranger tsumu chasing down omi's nieces and nephews in a god awful minivan and eventually tsumu's straight person truck after they steal omi's wallet in a convenience store and run as far away from his perpetually exhausted ass as possible. we love to see it!

"Atsumu-kun, you have been hit by volleyballs exactly eight times this week. It is only Tuesday.”

Atsumu’s hand goes up to touch the raised skin on his forehead. Huh. Has it been eight times already?

Meian is still talking. “... Thought we’d finally seen the end of it. How is it possible for a person to act even more lovesick once they’re actually dating the guy they’ve been pining over for the past nine months?”
