Never had anything hurt more than the parting words Lena threw in Kara’s face before exiting from Kara’s life permanently, at least it was permanent for a while.
“I hate you, Kara. You are dead to me. I never want to see you again,” Lena spat with such anger in her eyes, disdain in her voice. Kara had never heard Lena so hateful, not even when she spoke of or to her own mother. It felt like someone had shot her in the gut with a Kryptonite laced bullet that went straight through her. Never had she felt such anguish like this in all her life because though the destruction of her planet had been devastating, it had been an almost abstract concept since she had fallen into the phantom zone for 24 years before crash landing right into the Danvers’ lives. Actually, Kara would have preferred a Kryptonite bullet through the brain right about now. That might have hurt less than this unbearable wound bleeding out of her heart, searing into her brain, and seeping underneath her skin, burrowing deeply like a parasite. No, it would definitely have been much less painful if she was shot through the brain with a Kryptonite bullet right now.
Leave me alone
I was alone anyway
I have no one. Everything is meaningless
Take away the sugar-coated comfort
Tonight, I'll be crooked
Kara Danvers had everything. She has an excellent apprentice, good friends, A fantastic father figure, two great moms and a mother/mentor figure, the best sister in the world, and by far, the most radiant girlfriend in Lena Luthor. And with the permission to finally tell Lena her secret identity finally granted, Kara was happy.
Lena Luthor had been betrayed. This morning, the absolute worst person imaginable to her had revealed Supergirl's identity, causing Lena to dish out revenge in the cruelest way imaginable, leaving an emotionally devastated Kara fleeing to Argo for two years.
When a new villain holding the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak crashes into their universe alongside a battered and beaten Ms. America, The changed daughter of Krypton will return to Earth to save it but will the Superfriends, and most importantly Lena, be able to bring the old Kara back or will Kara remain Crooked?

Barbara wasn’t even sure why she was here.
The night tilted around her as her feet desperately tried to plant themselves on each step, gravity proving to be more difficult to manage while under the influence. Every two steps forward granted her at least one step back.
She didn’t even like to drink, not really—maybe a glass of wine here, or one beer there, but that was it! The thought of being out of control was often too much to handle and had kept Barbara more-or-less sober for the last twenty-eight years of her life.
God, what was she thinking?
This is stupid…
What’re you doing…
She’ll turn you away, you know…
