Years have passed since ALIE’s defeat.
Clarke lost people along the way, some she cared for more than others. People even tried to kill her, almost too many for her to count and still she survived.
And so some said her survival through the years was because of the Commander, while others said it was simply because she was Wanheda, the Commander of Death, the one most clans looked to for guidance in times of uncertainty, or as a source of blame in times of trouble.
But when the deaths kept piling higher and higher could she really be blamed for leaving everything behind?
Maybe it was selfish that Clarke now lived a life of solitude tucked away in the depths of Trikru territory in a small cabin she had built almost entirely on her own. But she didn’t care when the only thing expected of her was only what she expected of herself.
But her past always had a way of catching up to her, especially when it involved the Commander.

“I can’t get any power to the engines.”
Lexa thinks she can’t possibly have heard that right.
“What?” She says sharply.
First Officer Bellamy Blake’s voice is tight, tense. “I can’t get any—”
He doesn’t finish the sentence but that’s okay. Lexa can already see and feel the problem. The throttles are all the way forward, but the plane isn’t responding. They’re coming in for a landing, just a few hundred feet above the ground, and looming in their path are several power lines, a road, a gas station and some twenty-foot antennae right at the threshold of the runway.
And the plane is too low.
Opening the door to her office, Lexa steps inside with apologies falling from her lips. “Ms. Griffin, I’m really sorry for keeping you waiting. I had some hiccups in my morning, I’m usually much more punctual than this.”
The woman settles her phone down and straightens up, lengthening her spine before getting up. All Lexa see is blonde hair neatly combed falling over one shoulder, and she looks away for a moment, quickly putting her bag and planner away on a table by the entryway before meeting her new head of finances.
“There’s nothing to worry about. I’m sure you had a difficult morning,” the words find Lexa before she looks up and her blood turning into ice, little crystals keeping her heart from beating.
Lexa knows that voice.

Clarke is a troubled Boston PD detective, bearing a big lost and a heavy guilt from the past. Lexa is a dance teacher by day and a sensual stripper by night, with a tragic and dark past.
The two women meet for the first time on a tragic night where Clarke loses her father, detective Jake Griffin, who dies like a hero saving Lexa's life, when the teenage girl is kidnapped in a house of drug dealers and human trafficking.
Eight years later these women will meet again at a very different time in their lives, where the strong attraction at first sight they felt for each other, will lead them to rethink their lives completely.
Clarke was just trying to survive the first year of her internship. That was until she fell into bed with a beautiful brunette, who was running from her past. Maybe life should be about more than just surviving.
