It's from his mother, who he has no memory of. Weirdly enough, her letter mentions Beacon Hills and some woman named Talia, who he's supposed to trust. Confused and angry at his father, Stiles sets out for Beacon Hills anxious and determined to find out what his dad had been hiding from him all these years.

“Well, looks like I'm going to have to call him.” Peter huffed putting his hands on his hips as he hunched forward exhausted.
“Who?” Derek panted, his knees wanting to give out under him. Who, could you reasonably ask for help in this mess?
“Stilinski,” Peter replied as though he should know. He raised an eyebrow amused at his nephew’s confused expression. “You'll like him, he's a good kid.”
A good kid? Debatable. A good swing provable, but that would come later.
Attempting a magical ritual to commune with the deceased Hale pack matriarch leads to a monster on the lose. The remaining Hales must hire a dangerous Fox freelancer to clean it up.
“You saved me and healed me,” Derek insisted. “And I can’t pay you—”

Part 1: Derek finds himself a place in his sisters pack.
Stiles finds himself homeless in New York.
Together, they find home.
Part 2: Stiles and Derek figure out their lives together while also trying to find out what’s happening in Stiles strange dreams.
Part 3: Shorter one shots that take place after the main story arch :)
Stiles is home from college and is struggling to learn and use his spark powers. He gets more and more frustrated, convinced he will never be able to be a real asset to the pack. Derek wants to help him, but can never find the right words.
Out of a desperate need to comfort Stiles, Derek decides to try to "speak" to him through music. He sends Stiles a series of curated Spotify playlists, each specifically made to help when Derek can't find the words himself. This not only helps Stiles with his spark, but may just get these two idiots to finally admit their feelings.
