    Summary

He doesn’t mind being her person, even when it means that sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night to her standing at the foot of his bed like she’s the demon from some freaking horror movie. He loves her, and listening to her vent about anything and anyone has never been a burden, as much as he sometimes acts like it is.

But having a person, that is harder for him. He’s not used to having someone who is contractually obligated to listen to him whenever he has even the smallest of issues. It’s not the way he was raised, the way he is built: all his life he either smashed things down until they disappeared, or until they festered long enough that they got out on their own and caused him trouble.

Until somewhere along the way, he found Meredith. He knows that he could tell her anything and she wouldn’t even flinch, she would listen and wait until he was all talked out, and then turn right around and say or do exactly what he needed her to. He’s still getting used to how all that works, sometimes.

What happens when we look at Alex and Meredith from s12 to s14 with shipper glasses on and we see that not much actually changes.

It's not enough she's flunking Geometry, no. Or that Inuyasha is about to choose Kikyou. No. Now she has to deal with the new class representative. Who, oddly enough, looks like a certain perverted monk.

She couldn't. She couldn't give him up. Not now, not ever. She'd always shared Inuyasha with Kikyou and had never asked for, or wanted, anything for herself, but... Miroku. Something within Kagome’s chest loosened most pleasantly.

    Summary

Takes place between the events of Thor (2014) #4 and Agent of Asgard #10, and post-#20 of Matt Fraction's Hawkeye.

Even though he lived to fight another day, Thor isn't taking the loss of his arm at Malekith's hands as well as he'd like. There are too many dreams of blood and deep water and the sight of it burning to ashes before his eyes, too many phantom sensations in a prosthetic arm that can't truly feel anything anymore. Somehow "time" is no longer an acceptable solution for this particular wound. The other Avengers are doing their best, but somehow, his teammates are less helpful in this particular fight than they usually are.

Just as Thor is about to lose his temper and his way once more, he turns around to find Clint Barton there with something to say. A couple of things, actually. Because, though the differences between them are otherwise vast as an ocean, they both know what it feels like to be looked at like they're broken now. Understanding has to start from somewhere, and a friend who will really listen can bridge a lot of gaps.

    Summary

Clint's on enforced leave after the Battle of New York. Somehow, he ends up in his old town, living in his old house, left to deal with his bitter old memories. And then, with barely a chance to breathe, Clint comes to realize something is not quite right in Waverly. He intends to find out what—while also sort of dealing with the fallout of Coulson's death, an old ex showing up out of nowhere, people nosing in on his life, and having a broken farm. Just. Awesome.

Ocular (adj): of/or connected with the eye

He was in the eye of the storm. He was surrounded by the calmness of it, by the void of the tempest. He was wrapped and swaddled in the quiet. The tranquil air insulated him from the force of the wind and hail. He had been protected by the shield of it, and it gave him strength to outlast.

    Bookmarker's Notes

I'm a bit weirded out reading about American historical figures porking, but this story is beautifully written and it might as well be canon... or history, in this case.
