A characters read the book fic. I know... Overdone and overused. But this is my take on how it would unfold. Set after the Giant War, before ToA. The gods have to take a decision about their children and the fates decide to give them a little push. Rated T - just in case. I do not own PJo, Rick Riordan does. Ch34-SoM. Ch58 - TTC. Ch85 - BoTL.

AU in which Percy killed the goddess of misery, back in Tartarus.
- Part 2 of prompts
“Percy, were you born in a hospital?” she finally asked.
He looked down at the water. For the first time, he realized Sally hadn’t even mentioned where he was born.
“Uh...I—I don’t know?”
“You don’t know?”
AU were everything’s the same except Percy was never born out of Sally Jackson’s womb. And now the camp never lets him forget it. Where do babies come from, anyway?
- Part 3 of those cruel summers
“Hey,” he said, approaching her slowly. He took both of her hands in his, but she repelled away from his touch. “Please, ‘Beth.”
This time, he cupped her damp cheek, moving it in his direction. “Please look at me.”
And when she finally obliged, her gaze was fractured with glistening tears, like diamonds.
“I can’t lose you again,” she whispered.

Annabeth knew Percy was from New York City. Born and raised. She was very aware of that fact whenever she couldn’t understand what he’d said because he’d spoken so fast that there were barely any words. She had gotten used to it, having lived in New York for a while.
What she hadn’t exactly gotten used to yet was… well. How many times he could let f*** slip in front of the little kids at Camp.
// OR Percy curses like a true New Yorker and son of Poseidon, Annabeth's trying to keep things flowing, and Piper makes fun of him so he makes fun of her. Because, really, sometimes she sounds like a Kardashian and he sounds like he's not even speaking English.
