    Summary

After the First Age ended in fire and flood, Maglor Feanorion, the last survivor of his house, became a wandering musician. For the rest of his life, he sang by the seashore, telling the story of his people and their fall from grace.
    Well. He tried.
Maglor’s problems begin when he is discovered by Elrond, his foster son and accidental hostage. (It’s a long story.) Instead of exacting revenge on his kidnapper, Elrond sends Maglor on a quest with four strange hairy-footed children, a disgruntled dwarf, the long-lost heir to the throne of Gondor, a man named Boromir, and a pretentious wizard.
    This is fine.

    Summary

The sea bears Elrond into the West, and many of his sundered kin await him.

“You flatter me Sir, but I am no hero. I’m just...well, I’m your son.”

    “Of course you are.”

“Is that enough for you?” Elrond pressed, emboldened by The Old Heartache. “Because I’ve been your son all along. But, Eärendil...you haven’t always been a father to me.”

    Summary

It was a good song, he did agree. It was a beautiful tale, often told. Over the years people grew cautious of telling it near him; not because they feared to be gainsaid, but because they sincerely seemed to believe it would hurt his feelings to speak of such strange fates.

Elrond often hears people sing of Eärendil. The story is rarely the same.

    Summary

This is the story of one particularly grouchy son of Feanor, who has decided to leave his seaside moping and throw in his lot with the Rangers of the North.

It features one murder son and his various issues, one very chill ranger, one elf who is doing his best to deal with his abandonment issues, lots of long conversations by firelight, bad decision making and even worse fashion choices.

It's an unconventional ship, but that's what they said about the Titanic (probably) and that turned out fine!
