Crazy Party Night

Work Text:

Taehyung really likes the colour orange.

He likes the colour so much, he dyed his hair orange in freshman year of college.

Taehyung also really likes the fall.

He loves how the leaves change from greens to oranges, reds, and yellows and how they fall off of their branches onto the cold ground. The nice cold breeze that smacks him in the face when he goes outside to leave for his afternoon classes and the pumpkin lattes that come with the season. Most of all, Taehyung loves Halloween. He loves dressing up in random costumes every year and getting candy or even going to haunted houses to get the shit scared out of him.

On the other hand, Yoongi does not.

Yoongi hates Halloween unlike Taehyung. He doesn't like candy nor does he like those shitty overdramatic horror movies they play on television. The haunted houses, graveyards, whatever else there is, don't phase Yoongi. His favourite thing to do on Halloween is sleep and pretend Halloween doesn't exist.

When Yoongi met Taehyung back in High School, he didn't think they'd stay friends. They're complete opposites. Taehyung loves Halloween while Yoongi despises it, Taehyung loves children while Yoongi glares at children to scare them off.

Yoongi never thought that he would be as close to Taehyung as he is now nor did he think they'd ever live together but it pisses Yoongi off when he comes home to halloween shit everywhere. "Kim Taehyung, what is all of this shit?" Yoongi yells as he walks into a fake spiderweb.

Taehyug pokes his head in before happily coming into the living room. "What does it look like, grumpy cat?"

And Yoongi wants to smack him, per usual. "Grumpy cat my ass. Get rid of this shit, Tae."

Booping Yoongi on the head with his finger, Taehyung helps Yoongi get the fake spiderweb away from him and fixes it before widely grinning at Yoongi. "Now why would I do that? Get in the halloween spirit, hyung!"

Yoongi pushes past Taehyung so that he can go upstairs. "Yeah, not happening. You know I hate these shit holidays, Tae."

Taehyung grumbles about how Yoongi has no soul and other nonsense Yoongi would never understand. "At least go to the amusement park with me so we can go into the haunted graveyard there. Please?" Taehyung knows Yoongi wouldn't agree but he wanted to try.

Yoongi paused walking up the stairs to look at Taehyung. "No, Tae."

"But you never go with me, everyone else does. Except you." Yoongi was going to say something but Taehyung cut him off, "Nevermind. I'll just ask Jimin to go with me again. Sorry for bothering you."

It hit Yoongi in the gut, really, especially since he's been hiding his crush on Taehyung for awhile now. He sighs and walks upstairs to his room, contemplating on going with Taehyung. Yoongi knew Namjoon, Jimin, Hoseok, Seokjin, and definitely Jungkook would all be going (he really only knew Namjoon and Hoseok though) but he wasn't feeling it.

Maybe Yoongi was just getting old.

After touching up some of his raps, Yoongi decided to go downstairs to get food when he overheard Taehyung's phone call (which was on speaker since Taehyung was multitasking, yay college work!).

"I already asked him, Jimin. It's pointless, you know Yoongi hates that stuff." Taehyung frowned while doing some of his art homework that he was behind in.

"Somehow I wonder how you two have stayed friends for so long, you're like complete opposites."

And Taehyung can only shrug, though Jimin obviously can't see it. "I don't know, I really like being around Yoongi. Everyone says he is intimidating but I see him as cute."

Jimin snorted from over the line. "Yeah that's cause you're in love with the damn guy. Speaking of which, why the hell haven't you said anything?"

"Taehyung's in love with me?" Yoongi whispers mostly to himself, gently facepalming afterwards. "I'm a dumbass." He decides to walk in, making Taehyung awkwardly cough.

"Oh hi Yoongi, uh, yeah. Jimin, I'll call you back later." He says and hangs up without waiting for a response.

Yoongi raises an eyebrow but doesn't question Taehyung's actions since he knows what he wants to know already. He moves to sit on the couch, Taehyung is sitting on the floor in front of their coffee table, and clears his throat. "I've been thinking about earlier, you know."

Taehyung's pencil breaks and he swears to himself, looking back at Yoongi. "Earlier?"

"Yeah, you know, about that haunted- whatever it was. I'll go on one condition and one condition only." Taehyung is staring at him, mostly in surprise, but doesn't say anything. "My condition is that you buy my damn ticket or it's a no-go. Deal?" He replies in a half-joking tone since really, he'd never make Taehyung pay for anything. But when Taehyung practically throws himself at Yoongi, who is still sitting on the couch now with Taehyung practically sitting on him and hugging the hell out of him, Yoongi thinks that it'll probably be worth it.

"I love you, I love you, I love you!" Taehyung practically screeches while still hugging Yoongi and Yoongi doesn't really know what to say.

So he doesn't say anything because really, Taehyung is too cute to resist. Though, he really wished Taehyung would get off of him since he's not paper-thin. Eventually he tells Taehyung to get his 'fat ass' off of him and stands up. "I still hate Halloween though," he says as he goes back upstairs to his den.

Taehyung's smile doesn't falter and at this point, he doesn't really mind if Yoongi hates Halloween or not.

Yoongi has come to the conclusion that Namjoon is disgusting. Disgusting as in lovey-dovey disgusting. Ever since he and Jungkook got together, he's become a lame sap but he's made Yoongi not regret his decision to skip out on the haunted graveyard.

"I'm telling you," Namjoon says while shoving a few fries in his mouth. "Taehyung is a chicken, I've seen it myself. He'll cling to you like you're his only source of oxygen."

Yoongi laugh-coughs before re-reading the verse on his paper in his head. "Yeah well, that's not new. I've known, and lived, with him long enough to know." He grumpily scribbles out something before putting his pen down. "Last halloween he came home and woke me up because he was too afraid to sleep alone. Is he really turning twenty this year?"

Namjoon snorts and pats Yoongi on the shoulder. "Well, the kid always has liked you the most but sadly, yes he is."

"Yeah, I know he likes me. I overheard his conversation with Jimin. I just don't know how to approach him about it." Yoongi sighs, leaning against the wall. "You know I suck with emotions."

"Yeah but he's Taehyung. You know he loves everything you do, Yoongi." Namjoon always tries to reason with Yoongi but Yoongi's always too stubborn to actually listen.

Yoongi knew that Taehyung would like anything given to him, he was like that. Taehyung was too nice for his own good and Yoongi was well aware of this but he didn't care. He wanted to give Taehyung something memorable, something Taehyung could look back on and then feel proud to be with Yoongi. "Whatever, Namjoon."

Namjoon grinned 'cause he knew he was right.

'Little shit'  Yoongi thought in his head while glaring at the back of Namjoon's head. Eventually, Yoongi kicked Namjoon out of his room, and house, and sighed because he really wanted to take those damn decorations down. He's ran into a fakespider web three times in the past week. Taehyung always let Yoongi trash the decorations when the holiday was over which Yoongi much appreciated.

Just as he was about to go upstairs, Taehyung poked his head in before walking into the room. "Yoongi!" Yoongi looked over at Taehyung, practically half-dead from being tired, and mumbles something incoherent. "Here's your ticket, don't lose it!"

"Huh?" Yoongi replies, looking at the ticket in Tae's hand.

"For the haunted graveyard, silly." Taehyung places the ticket into Yoongi's hand and all Yoongi can do is stare at it.

"Taehyung, I wasn't serious when I said you had to buy me a ticket," he says, scratching the back of his head. "But thanks anyways."

Taehyung makes a face before shrugging. "Oh well, I still bought it because you've never accepted to come with me before and I got a little excited."

Yoongi ruffles Taehyung's hair before patting his cheek, "You're too cute sometimes, you know that?"

Taehyung felt his cheeks heat up and he looked away, mumbling something about not being cute at all. Yoongi could only laugh and go back upstairs, leaving a blushing Taehyung in their living room.

Yoongi's grumpy after Taehyung woke him up from his nap so that he could get ready to go to that amusement park. He's also grumpy because they're currently in line for this haunted graveyard, which is almost an hour long, and it's cold outside.

Taehyung is currently clinging to Yoongi's arm and that's really the only thing that makes this whole thing worth while. Yoongi definitely didn't plan on doing this again, he just wanted to make Taehyung happy this time around.

When they entered the haunted graveyard (which had like five sections to it, three of them being outside) Namjoon couldn't stop laughing for some damn reason, Hoseok was most likely going to piss himself (which amused Yoongi), Jungkook stayed close to Namjoon, Jimin was just as scared as Hoseok and clung to him for dear life, Jin was the brave "leader" of the group, and Taehyung had his arms wrapped around Yoongi.

Yoongi found the whole thing cheesy, even when two people with chainsaws had them pinned in a corner. It was more uncomfortable if anything since he had Taehyung pinned up against him and he was up against Namjoon at the time.

Though Yoongi did get some humour out of it. Near the end of it, they had a couple in front of them and the guy was definitely drunk. He was dramatically going on about how he had to pee and even asked a person dressed up as a witch if he could use the toilet that was on display (filled with fakeblood nonetheless). Yeah it was kinda gross but Yoongi couldn't help but laugh.

When Taehyung and Yoongi got home after saying goodbye to their friends, Taehyung shyly tugged on Yoongi's hoodie sleeve. "Yoongi?"

Yoongi was tired and just wanted to sleep but Taehyung was too cute to ignore. "Hm?"

"Is it okay if I sleep in your bed?" Yoongi grabs Taehyung's wrist and pulls him up to his room. After they get ready for bed and whatnot, Taehyung slips into Yoongi's bed and places a shy kiss onto Yoongi's cheek. "Thanks for coming today Yoongi, I know you probably didn't want to."

Humming, Yoongi wraps his arm around Taehyung to pull him closer. "I went for you, Tae. Only you."

Taehyung shyly cuddles up against Yoongi, not sure of what to say. He didn't want to embarrass himself in front of Yoongi. "I'm happy you went."

Yoongi leaned in to place a kiss onto Taehyung's lips, shocking Taehyung. "I'm glad I did too. Now go to sleep, Taehyung. It's late."

With that said, Taehyung could only shyly nod. Smiling to himself mostly, since Yoongi was already knocked out, he realized that he could really get used to cuddling with Yoongi (and kissing his lips).
