First Old Lady Series V - A Sons of Anarchy Fan Fiction (Juice I)

Chapter Text

Juice POV

I was pacing outside of the station house by one of the cruisers. It had been hours since Sarah had been taken in and we'd recently learned that she was here. While Jax and I had been tasked with handling the situation, Tig, Happy, Chibs, and Bobby had come down with us. They were all sitting around, waiting with me. There were so many thoughts swirling around in my head that I couldn't tell you what any of them were. Just as one started to take hold, another would swoop in and mix up my mind again. I was going fucking crazy and there wasn't a damn thing I could do about it.

"Juice," Chibs said as the doors to the station house opened and Unser walked out. He gave some of the brothers a look, but didn't say anything about the two sitting on the cruiser. I walked up to him, Chibs and Jax at my side, and demanded an answer.

"What's happening?" I asked and Unser gave me an understanding look.

"Feds have been grilling Sarah for hours about the destruction of the Charming P.D. systems. They seem to think it was intentional. Up to about an hour and a half ago, Sarah was talking to them. She told them about being threatened by one of my men on her first attempt to fix what was happening and that she'd had to leave because of the threat. She explained that when she was forced to come back by her boss, she was so emotional about the whole thing that she must have done something to destroy the server, but she can't remember because her mind was too mixed up with what had happened with Travis. Told them she took full responsibility for the destruction and lost her job as a result." I sighed, starting to feel a glimmer of relief. I couldn't have come up with a better cover for what happened if I'd tried.

"What happened an hour and a half ago?" Tig asked and Unser smiled at him.

"I went in to check on them and Sarah used it as an opportunity to ask if she was free to leave. They told her no and so she asked for a lawyer and  invoked her right to silence. Although they've been trying to goad her into speaking since, she'd just been sitting there with her arms crossed, staring at them." Unser looked at me. "You better hope you're never on the end of her wrath, Juice. That woman has a stare that makes even me uncomfortable." He said with a chuckle and I smiled for the first time since I heard Sarah had been brought in.

"Thas' our girl," Chibs said with a pat on my back and I nodded to him. I'd never imagined that Sarah would put the club at risk, but I had been worried that she wouldn't come out the other end of this without being in shit herself. Her story was the kind, however, that made it unlikely she was going to have any trouble. On the thought, Unswer continued.

"One of them told me that they don't have any proof of an intentional act and that he thinks Sarah's story about Travis would fly with a jury. If I had to guess, Sarah will be on the radar for a little while, but she won't be charged." On Unser's words, Tig gave me a smile. Although Clay wasn't here, all the other brothers would now know that, when push came to shove, Sarah had taken all the responsibility on herself for something that could have blown back onto the club. It was the kind of thing that would go a long way to her being accepted as an Old Lady.

As I stood there, I saw the club's lawyer walk out - without Sarah. "Where the hell is Sarah?" I demanded as she came up to us and she sighed.

"One of the feds in there has a hard on for Sarah. He's arrested her for destruction of property." She said and Jax spoke up.

"But it's Charming's property. How does he have the jurisdiction?" He asked as the voices in my head started to get louder and louder.

"It's not totally clear to me right now, but he says that the system here caused damage to a database held by the FBI." She shook her head. "It's a bullshit claim. Her story will hold up and there's not a jury out there who would convict if the federal prosecutor decides to press charges. They have a couple of days to convince the prosecutor, but if they don't press charges, she'll be released. If they do proceed with charges, they'll set bail and you can work on getting her out." I started to pace again. Fuck.

"Will she be held 'ere in Charming?" Chibs asked and the lawyer shook her head.

"No, they'll transfer her. But," she said, no doubt picking up on my increasing anxiety, "it shouldn't take long to get something going. I have friends at the prosecutor's office who I can contact. I should be able to get them to commit to charging or releasing by tomorrow. Either way, you'd have her back by tomorrow afternoon." My blood was loud in my ears now. Sarah was going to have to spend a night in jail, and it wouldn't be under Unser's watchful eye.

"Can the lad see 'er before she's transferred?" Chibs asked, watching me with concern. The lawyer looked over and nodded.

"Yeah. I'll get you in. Take off your leather, though. The last thing Sarah needs is for the ass in there thinking that he has leverage over her through the connection to the club." I nodded and shrugged it off my shoulders. I handed it to Chibs and nodded toward the station house.

"Let's go now." I said and she nodded at me and walked me inside. When we went in, she lead me back to an office room. There was one of Unser's men outside, but inside it was just Sarah. My God, she was beautiful. All the breath in my lungs escaped as I looked at her, striding over to pull her into my arms and put my head into the crook of her neck.

"It's okay, Rocky." She muttered as she ran her hands up my back. I almost chuckled at the thought. Here, she was going to be spending the night in jail and she was trying to calm me down.

I pulled back and looked at her and she smiled at me. God, this woman. "You'll be home tomorrow. Okay, baby?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yep. I'll sit tight until then." She leaned up and kissed me and I kissed her back, conveying with my mouth how worried I was about her. "Hey, relax. I'll be fine." She murmured against my lips and I tried to nod, but it was shaky even to me. "There's one thing you can do for me, though." She said and there was a smirk on her face. How the hell was she so calm about all of this?

"Anything," I said and I meant it. I'd move fucking mountains for her.

"Make sure there's a cheesy mushroom and pepperoni pizza waiting for me when I get out of the big house." She said and I chuckled.

"Big house?" I questioned and she raised her eyebrow at me.

"Should I call it the pen?" She asked and I gripped her to me, overcome with love for this sassy woman.

"I'll get you out, baby." I whispered, promising her again and she nodded.

"I know. But it's not going to help me if you're panicking. Lawyer says I'll be out tomorrow. Just pretend I'm at a girls night or something, right?" She asked and I swallowed and nodded. "Alright. I should go so they don't see you." She kissed me again and then walked out of the room with the lawyer and I deflated. It was going to be a long fucking night.
