First Old Lady Series V - A Sons of Anarchy Fan Fiction (Juice I)

Chapter Text

Juice POV

I got the call on a Thursday night. It was from a number I didn't recognize, but considering that I often ran with people who use burners, that didn't really surprise me. What did surprise me, however, was the voice alteration on the other end of the line when I answered it.

"This Juice?" The voice asked me and I gave a look to Jax, who was sitting next to me.

"Who's asking?" I answered.

"Doesn't matter. I'm calling because I need to tell you something that affects the Sons." The voice said and I stood up from my stool. Jax, seeing my response, did the same.

"And what would that be?" I asked, looking at Jax and nodding toward the back of the clubhouse, where I was taking this call to hear a bit better over the noise.

"Your tinkering with the computers at the P.D. has been noticed. They're sending in people to figure out the problem. You need to fix it before they find you." The voice said and I raised my brows. What the fuck?

"I don't know what you're talking about." I said as I turned back to the clubhouse, intent on getting to my laptop near the middle of the room as quickly as possible.

"Good. Then that means I'm wrong and you haven't been fucking around in there, piggybacking on data." Came the response and I could hear the exasperation in it, despite the fact that it was altered.

"Nope." I said. "Wasn't me."

"Alright. Then I guess it makes no difference to you that they've called in outside consultants because the county tech, who is too stupid to figure out what's been happening, says he's too busy to come look at the issue himself." The voice responded and I pulled the phone away from my ear for a moment. This person actually sounded like he or she was trying to help, and not just set me or the club up.

"I see," I said, trying to decide what next to do. My laptop was now loaded, so I could try to pull records for the local cell companies, but I wasn't sure I'd be on the line long enough to make it worth anything. On the thought, the person on the other end of the line confirmed my suspicion.

"Don't bother looking." Came the voice and the line went dead. Fuck.

I looked up and into the eyes of Jax Teller. "What's going on, Juice?"

"Either someone is trying to help me stay the fuck out of prison, or is trying to set me up to go." I said, muttering to myself as I started searching around my laptop's systems to see if there was evidence of a visitor.

"What do you mean?" He asked and I looked around to make sure no one could hear us before I spoke.

"Person that called covered their voice. Said that the Charming Police Department has noticed some issues with their systems and that they've called in outside help to figure out the problem because the county tech guy is 'too busy' to look into it." I answered.

"And that's a problem, right?" Jax asked and I nodded.

"Yeah. The county guy is an old fuck who doesn't know shit. I have tabs kept on him so that I know when he's going in to the P.D. When he does, I clear out anything I have on the system on a superficial level so that he doesn't find anything."

Jax raised his eyebrows and twisted his lips. "So, an outside consultant would do better at finding evidence of what's been done?" He asked and I nodded.

"Any way to confirm that what this person says is true?" I nodded.

"Yeah, but I'm not sure I have the time. If I assume this information is correct, I'm going to need to figure out a quick way to erase all my tracks."  I looked back at my computer. "After I do that, I have to find whoever called me."

Jax nodded, understanding lighting his eyes. The person who'd called may have the very evidence that I was now going to have to wipe from the P.D.'s systems. It wouldn't do me a shit lot of good to get rid of it if there was evidence somewhere else. Clay would blow a fucking gasket, convinced that I'd be a weak point for anyone trying to get to the club.

"Alright." Jax said and looked out over the club. "Figure out what needs to happen first to get you in the clear. Then, we'll move on to the next problem." I nodded and turned back to my laptop. I needed some time to think about this.

---

It was seven in the morning when I decided that the most thorough way to do what needed to be done would require getting into the server room at Charming P.D. If someone with some actual skills got in there, I'd be found in a heartbeat. Evidence of that was clear in the phone call I'd received. Someone must have already been called in. That was both a good and a bad thing.

Because the P.D. was a governmental entity, it meant that there had to be a trail somewhere that would point me to who had been sent out to look in the server room to begin with. That would help me track down my mystery caller. While that was good, that also meant that I had to work quickly. For whatever reason, the person who'd been in first called to give me a heads up rather than providing all the information to the cops. Again, that was good, as long as the person stayed friendly to the cause and didn't have a copy of anything problematic. Until I had the opportunity to clarify a few things with him or her, however, there was a risk that it could go south in a hurry.

The most pressing part, however, was finding a way to get into that server room. I couldn't go in myself without a great cover. Every officer in Charming would recognize me and the point of wiping my tracks would be lost if I didn't have a legitimate reason for being in the building. And, because this was pressing, what I needed was a good way to get in right now.

On the thought, I left my dorm and went downstairs.  At the base of the stairs, I found several brothers sleeping off the prior night's activities. The ones that looked to be the least hungover were Hap and Chibs.  Their women were off doing some spa retreat with a couple of the other Old Ladies, so they'd been up for a round of fun last night. Now, as I kicked both to get them moving, they groaned and looked at me. Hap spoke first.

"You wanting to die for waking me up so early, Juice?" He rasped and I nodded at him.

"Let's do that after you get tossed into Charming P.D. for me." I said and Chibs furrowed his brows at me.

"Ya' wan' us ta do wha' now?" He asked.

"I need to get into the server room at the P.D. right away. That means I need one of you to get thrown in jail so that the other one and I can bail him out, leaving me a chance to sneak off while you're dealing with the paperwork." I explained and Happy sat up with a bit of a smirk.

"Been a while since I did some vandalism. Could do a few wheelies in the P.D. front lawn. That should get me tossed in." He said and I grinned. This man was a brother, through and through.

"Perfect. Get your keys, we gotta move now."
