*CREDITS END. CAMERA TURNS TO GINA PORTER AND E.J CASWELL*

GINA PORTER:

Welcome to the East High morning show! I’m Gina Porter.

E.J CASWELL:

And I’m E.J Caswell and welcome to the East High Morning Show!

*GINA TURNS TO E.J*

GINA:

E.J, I just said that.

E.J:

But you didn’t hear it from me!

*GINA ROLLS HER EYES FONDLY*

E.J:

Now, on to today's guest.

GINA:

He made local headlines when he was cast as “Sharpay Evans” in this year’s fall musical of High School Musical: The Musical and will be playing "Chip" in the spring musical, Beauty and the Beast.

E.J

Which, by the way, you can find the ticket link on the Drama Club Instagram page or in Carlos Rodriguez’s Instagram bio.

GINA:

You can also find it in mine.

E.J:

And mine. In fact, my cousin, Ashlyn-

GINA:

You can find Beauty and the Beast tickets in our next guests’ bio as well. Please welcome, Seb Matthew-Smith!

*THE CAMERA PANS TO SEB MATTHEW-SMITH SITTING ON A STOOL. E.J AND GINA JOIN HIM ON THE LEFT, STANDING*

SEB MATTHEW-SMITH:

*WAVES*

Hi! Thanks for having me.

E.J:

Thanks for coming, dude.

*SEB’S EYES WIDEN*

GINA:

Seb, you were cast as East High’s first gender-bent role in a musical. How does it feel?

SEB:

Kinda... crazy? I mean, HSM has been over for months and I still can’t believe I got to play the icon that is Sharpay Evans. I never thought I would get the chance to live out my dream. It still feels like a dream. And to make East High history for something that isn’t sports-related? That’s even crazier.

GINA:

You definitely made history that night and it’s not just because you broke a pair of vintage boots from 2006.

SEB:

Yeah, sorry, Kourtney…

E.J:

Speaking of history, what was your favorite backstage moment?

SEB:

All of them?

GINA:

Can you name a specific moment?

Seb:

Actually, yes. It happened a week after we closed. I got a direct message on Instagram saying my performance gave them the confidence to come out. Up until that moment, I didn't realize how big of a deal my performance was.

*GINA AND E.J SMILE*

GINA:

Sebby…

E.J:

That’s really special, isn’t it?

*SEB NODS*

GINA:

One final question, what was your favorite part of the rehearsal process?

E.J:

Mine was when Ricky Bowen threw a basketball at my face.

*GINA NUDGES E.J’S SHOULDER WITH HER OWN*

GINA:

The question was for our guest, Eej. Seb?

SEB:

Oo, I would have to say the dance rehearsals. We always had so much fun dancing and singing and laughing. It was fun to watch your fam- cast dance and sing their hearts out. There was just something so special about it.

E.J:

Of course, he says dance rehearsals.

*GINA NUDGES E.J AGAIN. SEB LOOKS UP, VISIBLY CONFUSED*

GINA:

Be sure to catch Seb and your co-hosts in Beauty and the Beast next week. Seb, would you like to help us sign off?

SEB:

Of course.

GINA, E.J, AND SEB:

Good morning, East High!
