I really do love this fic, and admire the hell out of the author for admitting most of the way through originally writing it (yeah, I've been reading it from the beginning) that the ending was too easy, and then ripping it apart and putting it back together to make the characters earn their changes.
Also, on re-reading it, I'm always surprised by the porn... This fic is so much about the evolution of their relationship dynamics into something functional that I forget that their relationship in the fic was originally just based on sex.
