Torbjörn attempts to learn about a particular Bastion unit, although it may be more curious about him than he is of it... The other Overwatch members have their own opinions on the thing, too— and no one can escape the past that haunts them all.
I guess I wanted to write something that actually fleshes out Overwatch because I dunno... its "story" and characters seem kind of really shallow and unpolished to me, especially for the impressively huge (and pretty unique) sci-fi world it has to offer. This will probably end up being somewhat of an anthology though, since I can't hold a coherent thought for very long and inspiration seems to hit me in odd, unpredictable waves. But maybe that'll make it more entertaining. Who knows.
Every chapter is probably going to involve Bastion though, so be warned. This story is kind of meant to make the Omnic Crisis feel like an actual war and deal with concepts like automated warfare, machine ethics, and AI in ways that Overwatch could do, but won't, for some reason. I also want to deal with the characters' anxiety, insecurities, and PTSD because these are things that I experience, too.
