Inspired by the sporking of Feminist Fairy Tales, chapter ‘Ugly and the Beast,’ which was done by ZeldaQueen, Gehayi, and sometimes Ket Makura.
Walker says that the Beast truly looked like that, and his character says that he once had a beautiful lover, and cast an illusion on himself to make him look beautiful and human. She left him, and it’s implied that it was because she was vain (even though she apparently fell in love with the ugly beast?).
Consider this: He’s implying that even when he loved this Beauty, he assumed she would be shallow and only care for his looks, and proceeded to lie to her rather than show any faith in her virtues. If this is so, it can be assumed that he only fell for her because of her looks and mere presence. This is the story of what happened, which isn’t just her finding out he’s ugly and saying no, thank you.
You don't need to have read the sporking to get this.
