Summary
“Do you suppose he will be as handsome as his brother was?” she’d asked Catelyn excitedly a few days before the rebel party was to arrive.
“You’ll have to see for yourself and find out,” Catelyn had smiled in her usual reserved manner, but the deep sadness in her eyes remained. Had she not been ruined by Petyr, Lysa knew, she would be the one marrying Eddard Stark. Instead she was marrying Jon Arryn, lord of the Eyrie, who, although everyone said he had been strong and handsome in his youth, was now an old man, old enough to be their grandfather. For once, Catelyn was the pitied one, not Lysa, and Lysa did not know what to make of it at all.
(Petyr takes advantage of Catelyn's grief over Brandon's unfaithfulness. In the aftermath, two marriages are drastically changed.)

Summary
The day that Robert Baratheon came to Winterfell, Arry saw Samson’s face fall when he laid eyes on the Demon of the Trident. Arry understood why – this was not the Adonis of a man that her father had described when he told them all stories of his youth in the Eyrie. Samson had always clung to those stories: he wanted to be as honourable as their father, as strong as Robert Baratheon, as good as Jon Arryn. Joanna joked sometimes that he would find a good living as a singer, with so many dreams of nobility and war.
Prompt: I would love to read something where Cat and Ned have two legitimate sons Sansa and Arya, three legitimate daughters, Robb, Bran, and Rickon, and Ned's bastard daughter Jon. All the children have similar personalities to their book counterparts, except those personalities are expressed through Westerosi gender norms. How would the family dynamics change, and how would the political dynamics change because of the switch?

Bookmarker's Notes
I look forward to seeing how this story goes. Like another previously commented, I wonder if Ned will be more hesitant to the idea of becoming Robert's Hand. Also, will Jon face an assassination attempt instead of Bran in this AU, because she's pissed off Cersei. Also, if it does come to Sansa calling the banners, I think there might be more trouble with loyalty because Sansa still seems rather naive for a heir.

Summary
In the year 1857 AC the journal of the king that solidified the rule of the Baratheon dynasty was found. The surprisingly frank and direct journal entries give Dr. Hedda Barath a rather unique insight in what life was in Westeros 1500 years ago.
With growing unease, I note that the so venerated Maesters at Oldtown have started to adjust the events of my reign in a nearly utopian narration. Gone are the mistakes I made in my reign, gone are the hunger and thirst, the blood and the sickness, only the glory and honorable deaths are left. Nothing of the cravenness in my own ranks, instead the only ones that were craven were my enemies. Men and women that stood opposite me are demonized into fantasy. I cannot abide this farce, I simply cannot. So in these last days before the Stranger takes me too I will attempt to give an account of my life, the events that shaped me and my rule.
King Joffrey Baratheon, First of his name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm.
