Summary
The Magnus Institute do classified research on dimensional portals that manifest in their facility as Doors--that is, until the Doors start spreading into the general public. Obviously containment is a priority, but so is making sure that no data is lost, so a new department has to be established to gather as much information from these rogue Doors as possible. Jonathan Sims is unqualified to head this department, sure, but in his defense, he's also unqualified for the job he's being transferred from.

Summary
Jon has his sweet husband and his MI5 job and his weird coworkers, and that should be an interesting enough life, except that it isn't. Lucky that the assassin whose career he's been idly following ends up tangled in his actual job, by way of one Agnes Montague, and everything starts to fall apart in new and very interesting ways.
(An AU inspired by Killing Eve--no knowledge of the show necessary)

Summary
The Magnus Institute of Magical Research attracts a certain number of newly qualified and unattached magicians, and therefore a certain number of fae with an interest in becoming familiars. Martin is perhaps the least qualified magician at the Institute, Jon is the rare fae there to do an actual job. They'd probably make this complicated enough without other people taking an interest in them, but the Head of the Institute has his eye on Jon and his finfolk familiar is hanging around Martin.

Summary
“What gave it away?” Jon says, standing up now, his voice drops, and sounds multiplied, he played the waiting game long enough, and maybe he was finally proud of someone for figuring it out, “Was it the eyes? The laugh? The spine bend out of place- I’ll admit that one was a bit overkill.”
“Sh-shut up! Give him back.” Martin says, his voice strong, commanding, something he did not feel.
