Note: This is an SPN crossover with Seanan McGuire's Ghost Roads series, about a hitchhiking ghost who acts as guardian or psychopomp to those who pick her up. When I read the first book recently, I just kept thinking how well Dean and Baby would fit into Rose Marshall's world. If you haven't read this and The Girl in the Green Silk Gown yet, I recommend them to SPN fans. Rest assured, though, that I believe you don't need to have read it to enjoy this! At least I hope that's the case. You'll have to let me know, whether I succeeded or failed in the comments.
Set immediately pre-series for Supernatural, with minor spoilers for Ghost Roads-nothing that isn't revealed in the first chapter or two of Sparrow Hill Road. First person POV.

Summary
Everyone knows there’s something strange about the old house on Elmwood Avenue. Its gruesome history of murder has scared off many families, but not Castiel Shurley.
