Summary
“You are here for a reason, Yang,” Raven states between ground teeth. Maybe it’s meant to feel like a threat or a taunt, but it only lands as a reminder. Yang’s used to letting those roll right off of her. “Stay away from the Belladonna’s at all costs or so help me.”
“Or what?” Yang challenges, not mentioning that she doesn’t care. She doesn’t give a shit about Blake Belladonna, about the sexy smirk of her lips or the danger of her hooded eyes. She can’t be bothered with caring about a single damn thing because she had been dragged on a campaign trail, shoved into a bedroom in the White House, plopped into college courses, hauled to stylists. There was only one way to survive any of this, a singular method to get her through again and again. “I don’t have much more to lose at this point.”

Summary
That’s what sets Catra on edge, what sends shivers down her spine, an uneven beating in her heart. This is supposed to be the part where things are easy. But she’s never known easy. She didn’t know what it meant not to fight. She hadn’t had dreams without a backdrop of warzones in so long.

The war is over. Everything else is supposed to fall into place. A series of moments analyzing what it means for something to be effortless and the work it takes to get there.

“Yeah, yeah,” Yang mutters. “We have a lot of days to go, Belladonna.”

Summary
“I lost everything.” Blake’s voice breaks, the end of her word vanishing in a croak.
“Like what?” Yang demands, pushing on despite the fact that she wants to drop everything. The past pieces of herself—of them—are already on the floor at their feet. There are fragments and shards cluttered beneath them and Yang is done with attempting to find enough glue to hold herself together. “What have you possibly lost, Blake?”
“I lost my home.” You. “I lost my happiness.” You. “I lost the only person I’ve ever loved.”

Summary
Yang's untouchable; Blake's anything but. The first time they meet can't be the first at all, not with Yang lighting up every billboard on the Sunset Strip and Blake's voice crooning through the radio regardless of the station, not when every motion of Yang's is achingly familiar and every turn of Blake's mouth leads like a staircase. It's Hollywood, and Yang's spent years learning how to get exactly what wants her - Blake's spent years running from it.
If I could, Blake says, I'd kiss you right now.
If I could, Yang says, I'd let you.

Summary
"I don't date my photographers," Blake says, almost reflexively.
Yang just looks at her, searching, brows slowly drawing together with uncertainty. "Is that really all I am to you?"
No, not even a little. Whatever Yang is to her, or could be to her, Blake knows it's transcendent. And that's terrifying.
(Photographer/Model AU where Yang eventually makes good jokes, Blake eventually goes high fashion, Weiss eventually breaks down, and Ruby eventually makes an appearance)
