But his programming couldn’t find a way to let Elijah down lightly, because despite all of that he was also too much of a people-pleaser, as Hank would say.
“We’re not dating,” is what he eventually blurted out.

It always accomplished its mission, according to Amanda. The deviant in question was a male AX400 model, currently being held in place at the wrists by an assembly machine. It contrasted with the RK800’s downloaded police handbook, on the protocol of interrogations, but ‘by any means necessary’ implied that much harsher methods would be allowed.
It took the cattle prod into the room.

Connor knew a lot of effort had gone into making him. He was model 60, after all - fifty androids had come and gone before they sent 51 out into the field, fifty androids that were used for testing and training of new designs and programmes. Very few people knew the details of those tests. Connor, despite their best efforts to make him forget, was one of them.
The androids he passed on the street were still afraid of him, and he thought they deserved to know every crime that had been committed to make him the hunter they had nightmares about each night. So he took the sketchbook Carl handed him, and he began to draw.

Summary
Nines had been working as an ER nurse in the trauma unit for around six years by the time 2035 rolled around. Now here he was having his whole life turned upside down by a singular android. A GV200 police android who acted as a glorified EMT to bridge a difficult gap between crime scenes and the ER.
Nines never expected for the GV200 to catch feelings of the human variety or for himself to catch feelings of the romantic variety. But here they were, falling in love and finding out what it means to be deviant.

Everyone has a soulmate, but not everyone meets them. Quite often, someone’s soulmate dies before the person can even remember dreaming about them. That’s what Gavin had always assumed happened to him until one snowy night in November 2038 when he started dreaming about Connor, the android he’d shot in the head, of all people.
Humans can’t have android soulmates. No way - or at least that’s what Gavin believed until Connor flat out said he didn’t want Gavin in any part of his life and he’d then got that damn death spot on his hand.
How ironic. He’d killed Connor when he was still machine, and now Connor had condemned him to a slow and painful death in return.

RK900 is a military kill-droid that was purpose built for mindless slaughter. But with enough patience and an amount of trust only really possible to the foolhardy... maybe he can help 'Nines to rehabilitate too.
And if Nines happens to reciprocate Gavin's obvious attraction, then all the better.

For anon's prompt: Hi :D If you're not too busy, would you mind writing something where there's a v big misunderstanding in the DPD precinct that makes everyone act horribly cruel towards Gavin, and when he finally breaks down, he completely shatters, so they all have to try v hard to make it up to him because by treating him so badly, they unintentionally confirmed his greatest fear (being hated/ignored by the only people he had left in his life) ? :0
