“Three times, Peter.” Frustration sharpened Stiles’s voice, pulling the man’s attention back from his wolf’s wanderings. “You know what that means.”
Peter knew. One is an incident, two is a coincidence, three's a pattern, and four is enough for a warrant. Not that they could get a warrant, even if they did end up with a fourth victim. It didn’t matter to Stiles, though. He, like his father, was a cop at heart—protect and serve was etched in their bones. Usually, Stiles also had a streak of ruthless practicality that balanced that idealism out, but this time was different. Peter hoped it didn’t come back to bite him in the ass.
“Proving the pattern to the rest of the pack is going to be… difficult.”
Or the time Stiles stopped trying to convince Scott to listen to him, because no one has time for that crap.

Summary

Stiles doesn't pretend to be a nice person, so if he is under threat, he has no problem going nuclear on some Argent idiots who thought he was the harmless human.

Kent goes first overall in the draft. Jack goes to Samwell. As far as Jack's concerned, the split should cement the permanent end of the infamous Parson-Zimmermann hockey duo.
But then Kent keeps showing up at Samwell to rub his success in Jack's face. And he keeps on winning over Jack's friends so that they all feel sorry for him. And then he gets engaged to the captain of the Bruins, so Jack constantly has to glimpse snippets of their dates on the evening news or in the Boston newspaper.
It's all a scheme to make Jack jealous, of course. What else could it be?
