Summary
Tommy looks at the ceiling with stars in his eyes. He thinks of Tubbo and how much he misses him, and that kid from the ice-cream shop, Wilbur, and his brother and their sad smiles. He thinks of how much of a cool dad Phil must be to let his kids swear in front of him, and he wishes he could swear in front of Dream, or just breathe without being smacked around.
Tommy knows this isn't how people are supposed to treat their foster kids but maybe he's like one of Pavlov's dogs, because when the hand on his hair is gentle enough, he's been trained to understand that means the punishment is over. Dream is letting him off easy and he starts to patch up his injuries and this - this is the reward, and Tommy's stuttered apologies come naturally.
He's a fighter most of the time; just maybe not today.

Technoblade only laughed out loud at the comment and looked over his shoulder as he was escorted out, several chains and cuffs now dangled from his wrists, neck and ankles. Blood red eyes narrowed, and he reveled in the fear he saw on the judge, jury and the spectators. His grin had not faded.

Also known as: Technoblade is a convicted serial killer, sentenced to life in prison. When sent to the SMP (Secure Maximum Prison), his hopes of escaping dwindle rapidly... At least solo anyway. He doesn't plan on leaving his new group behind after all. That and the wardens are actually kind of chill.

"Wait, blind?" Techno peered harder at the communicator. Wilbur stopped laughing. "How the hell is he able to slip by you then?"
"Uses the air currents like feelers, I think," Dream's breath was coming heavier as he carried on running. "Gets an idea of where things are in relation to him. He doesn't always get it right, sometimes there are cracks in things big enough to feel like an escape route and he slams into a wall. Or he doesn't angle close enough to the ground and trips on things. He's uh-" Dream flipped the communicator around, and Techno blinked as Bad flew through the air, screeching the whole way. "He's slippery."
