Summary
Castiel, angel of the Lord, is at peace with the mission assigned him by God almighty. His job - no, his purpose, the meaning of his existence - is to slay demons. He can see them, their eyes blackened by the evil they’ve done, their souls corrupted beyond hope of salvation, and when he finds one, he sends them to hell. Yes, the work is hard, the price to himself steep, but God has commanded it, and it’s better that Castiel bear the stain of murder than some poor mortal suffer because Castiel wasn’t strong enough to do what must be done.
And tonight’s demon - a murderer at least twice over, confirmed by Castiel's own eyes - is no different, no matter how fair his visage appears when not warped by sin.
Castiel will do his duty, as he always has, and when the deed is done - and no sooner - he’ll pray for the souls of the fallen, and for the forgiveness Castiel knows God will not - cannot - grant.

Summary
Castiel is attempting to get over his most recent failed relationship. "Getting over" meaning eating copious amounts of ice cream and binging on Netflix. Gabriel can't stand his little brother being this way, and offers to help him get over the break up. Gabriel's version, however, includes a lot less TV and a lot more alcohol. Prying Castiel off of his couch, the brothers go to a nearby bar..... where the bartender turns out to be the most beautiful person Castiel has ever seen. And of course he hadn't changed out of his sweatpants and Star Wars t-shirt.

It's the first time Supergirl has called her by her name. Not Kara, but Supergirl. She startles at the sound of it, at how much she likes hearing Kara say it even when she's like this. Kara is looking at her with such care and she doesn't deserve it. Doesn't deserve any of it. No one has ever loved her, and maybe there's a good reason. There has to be.
Lena's free hand clenches into a fist.
“What?” She says, a bit too sharp, a bit slurred. “I'm fine.”
