He’s got tears in his eyes, a greyness etched into his face, and hair, like he’s about to be sick or something and when Seb looks right at him he seems to perk up. His face comes alive in way that Seb only sees with his mum when he’s made her proud or something.
He sees him wearing a black coat, paper thin like it’s made out of bin bag and sagged shoulders as he plays with his hands and then he looks at the man standing right next to him.
He’s different. He’s taller and his shoulders are broader, and his hair isn’t greying. It’s blond and all over the place like Seb’s is. It’s not what Seb can focus on though, it’s his eyes that look so familiar.
It does something to his chest, makes him have to breathe in so sharply.

Summary
“We were between Honduras and the tip of Mexico when we went down.” He draws an X in the dirt. The area of the ocean that Carlos gestures to with his stick seems so miniscule, but TK knows it’s likely thousands of square miles. “We may have gotten slightly off course when we lost control, but yeah,” he slides his foot over the picture, effectively wiping it away. “It’s a start.”
His eyes are stormy and his brow is furrowed. TK wants to smooth it out with his thumb, he wants to wash the dirt off his neck and ask him why he looks like he’s holding the weight of the world on his shoulders, but all he can do is nod and hope the rescue team can find them as easily as the map made it seem.

TK shrugs. “I don’t know. We don’t do that. No names, no pictures. Nothing personal.”
Paul blinks at him. “He could be a thirteen year old girl.”
“He’s not.”
