Summary
Dream was led to the prison, not stopping at all, no breaks in his movement, no fear in his posture. As though everything was perfectly fine, and he wasn't just sentenced to an inhumane hell for eternity.
Because it was all according to plan.
Others will probably realize later, not that it mattered as they'd probably never fathom the reason why. Dream's content, though. He has plans within plans, and he doesn't need to make any more.
His different guests do indeed surprise him at times, though.
Note: This is mainly an interpretation based on Dream's actions and perhaps mostly his inactions.

Summary
When Dream woke up in a prison cell he didn't know where he was. All he knew was he finally had his body back (maybe? mostly) and no way to tell anyone whatever Night had done wasn't him. Maybe they wouldn't care, anyway.
They would care, very much so, but the problem was that they don't know.or; Dream was possessed to allow me to redeem his character, and deals with the inhumane prison he has now found himself in and the people who think he is a monster.

More like a victim of a natural disaster. As if he had spent hours on the roof escaping a flood, only to be carried away by a tornado.
But burying the knives was still a good idea. The kid seemed to trip over while making a sandwich."
