Summary
Mika, a boy born from shadows, has lived in the forest near Tokoyokaze (JP: 常夜風, “Everlasting Night Wind”) for his entire life. The people of Tokoyokaze are aware of his existence, but they never interact with him. When problems start to occur, Mika is blamed for them. He’s unaware of anything that’s happened in the city, though.
Rei Sakuma is told to bring Mika back to the city, although the specific reasons are unknown. Mika was supposed to be given to the Demon Eradication Corps (DEC), but Shu saw potential in him, and refused to hand him over. Shu had to fight tooth and nail for Keito to not take Mika to the DEC headquarters, and luckily he succeeded, on one condition: Mika was to be proclaimed dead.
Shu teaches Mika about magic, and he learns the same magic as Shu. Mika also learns about the Oddballs’ rebellion against the government and the DEC. He agrees to help the Oddballs, despite the danger that comes with that. -

Midori blushed. He’d felt awkward since Chiaki first thought he and Hinata were on a date, and kissing in a public place would be even more awkward.
“I’m just teasing you,” Hinata said. He had noticed Midori’s embarrassed expression, so he was trying to make Midori more comfortable. “Like I said, if you don’t want to kiss, we don’t have to.”

The final contract of Liyue. That’s what Rex Lapis had called it.
An agreement to test his people, to see how they would be able to stand on their own and to allow them to move on from the age of gods and monsters into the dawning age of man. Rex Lapis knew they would be challenged in ways they had never been before, but despite appearances, he would be there to catch them if they fell.
However, there were things he hadn’t accounted for despite all his careful planning. He had known that the Tsaritsa’s Fatui were sent to cause chaos - that Childe was a Harbinger and therefore would be at the epicentre - but he hadn’t expected this.
As his ancient foe rose from the depths of the Guyun Stone Forest, the Archon weighed the final contract of Liyue against the first and made his decision.
