Summary
Sound travels through the infinite void of space in a faint whisper that only a cat, or a dog, or maybe even a small bird could hear, but definitely not a human. Maybe a druid, but that depended on their mood, or a mage of some kind, if they were lucky. Also depending on their mood.
On the Glade, sound usually passed through the metal walls in irritable shout of NEWT! repeatedly, sometimes multiple times a day, until the word lost all meaning.

Summary
On this day, however, when Richie makes his way to the corner of Jackson and Witcham and comes to a stop under the road signs to look around, there is no Eddie in sight. In fact, there is no anyone in sight, the street completely and utterly bare of cars and people alike. It’s unusual, that’s for sure, and it sends an uncomfortable chill down Richie’s spine, but he chooses not to think too much of it, instead just rocking back and forth on his feet and waiting for Eddie to arrive.

Pain and murmuring woke Ragnar. The pain was entire.. the murmurs were easier to ignore but more distracting, as Ragnar tried, with bleary eyes, to watch his priest's lips form the soft, unrecognizable words of prayer, steady and repetitive.
“Do not try to bring your God here, Athelstan, I think it will be too cold for him. He will not want to come.”
