A genuine, long laugh, unburdened by the death of his mother, the alleged suicide of his father, and the responsibilities that came with his immense wealth. He couldn’t recall a time when he had felt so light, so free. And it was all thanks to Katou.
Katou. His partner. The man who had plunged headfirst into a case that was not his, who had stayed by Daisuke’s side on the ship, never once abandoning him, even when he had discarded his badge and pushed him away again and again. Katou, the one who was always trying to help him, and has now solved his problems once more.

Apparently, knowing Fushimi belongs to another clan now and seeing exactly what that means for the two of them are two very different things. And also, Yata’s pretty sure he’s got a suit kink.

Prompt: A taxi, an old enemy, and Valentine's Day.
Saruhiko does not like Valentine's Day, and all he wants now is to get... well—not home, but somewhere that his irritating subordinates aren't. Unfortunately for him, some HOMRA members who are very fed up with Misaki's moping have other plans. Which may or may not include getting the redhead drunk and depositing him wherever Saruhiko is.
In other words: the one in which Saruhiko is painfully obliged (or so he tells himself) to deal with a drunk Misaki who has chosen today of all days to be the rambliest drunk of all time.
