A series exploring the personal lives of some of Tolkein's characters, Elf-centric but with some Dwarves, Hobbits, and Men for good measure.

    Summary

After the Fall of Eregion, many enchanted objects fell into the wrong hands as scavengers and treasure seekers descended upon the ruined city.

When reports of these objects surface, it is Erestor’s job to reclaim them. It’s a nice job. Lovely scenery, no more watching his king flirt with his lord, and he gets to leave the paperwork to lesser immortals.

It would be better, however, if Elrond had not ordered him to let a certain recently-reborn elf lord tag along...

    Summary

So comes to pass that Durin the Deathless, mighty dwarrow of Aulë, Father of the Dwarves, King of Khazad-dûm, the First of the Seven Fathers, King of the Longbeards, finds himself inexplicably bound to a small raw chunk of blue stone pocketed by one Belladonna Took on her journey home from a well accomplished adventure. Years, and multiple adventures later, Belladonna settles and births a son to whom this stone is gifted.
A child named Bilbo, the small Hobbit who will turn the tides of the whole of Middle Earth, and the ghostly Durin's ward in this new uncharted world before them.

Or: In which Durin the Deathless does not accept the finality of his lineage and submits his complaints to Mahal and Yavanna.
Becoming bound to a stone was not part of his request to save the Dwarrow and this stipulation was not in the fine print.
Additionally Hobbits are far too endearing even to ancient semi-immortal monarchs.
And it isn't technically breaking any rules if the ghost beside you works as a translator for super secret dwarvish languages.

    Summary

Bilbo Baggins, blessed by Yavanna while still in his mother's womb, had a strong love for nature. With that love came the ability to make things grow, an ability that lent itself to many things: gardening, floristry, and unfortunately, adventuring.

A re-telling of The Hobbit, but with a smidge more magic than is probably necessary.

    Summary

Plan B: an alternative strategy; a contingency plan, devised for an outcome other than the expected plan.

Or, sending an unqualified temp to act as Thorin Oakenshield's PA because no one qualified can put up with him.

(He'd say they can't meet his standards. Of course he would.)

Meet Bilbo Baggins. He just became Plan B.

    Summary

Nineteen years after a cautious Bilbo Baggins left his home to follow a king across a continent, the world-weary hobbit finds that he can hardly bear to be in his home for a week. He has spent almost two decades traveling across Middle-earth, chasing the elusive feeling of belonging that died with the King Under the Mountain and his heirs. As he prepares for yet another journey, Bilbo makes a painful decision to leave behind his awful, lovely golden ring. And everything changes.

A time-travel fix-it where a hardened Bilbo Baggins is offered the chance to change a tragic story, perhaps at the cost of his sanity and life. He doesn't even hesitate.
