原作的标题是Corpus Hominis，拉丁语。corpus的意思是“身体”，hominis的意思是“人”，连起来的意思是“人的身体”！！？ 作为一个以破案之名行暧昧之实最后顺利闯关的恋爱故事，这个标题有点严肃古怪，而且找不到对应的中文词汇。
实的对不上，就该转向抽象。惠特曼自称“既是灵魂的诗人也是肉体的诗人”。《我歌唱带电的肉体》这首诗里描写了大量的肉体之爱，同时也写到了灵魂，“电”意味着灵性，属于灵魂范畴，这首诗的主旨就是灵与肉的结合。小说以惠特曼的诗开头，以这样一句话收尾：He simply loved the man. Mind, soul...and body. 呼应得非常完美。
人之所以为人，而不是随便哪个阿狗阿猫，前提就是灵肉合一。没有灵魂肉体只是物质，失去肉体灵魂只能沦为幽灵。专注于精神视肉体为管道的侦探大人，最终还是会通过肉体之爱明白“生而为人”的意义。

Summary
Through the years Crowley and Aziraphale keep running into each other in compromising scenarios or just when they're on the pull. To be fair, it's mostly just Aziraphale in compromising scenarios. That hardly makes it better.

Summary
A plant grows, a plant dies, Aziraphale takes a wrong turn, and a few truths are revealed. The first of which is this; painful truths cannot be buried for they will sprout and flourish while one is busy having lunch and raising supposed devil-spawn. From this, each of our heroes takes a single lesson; Aziraphale learns that it is better to never bury truth in the first place and Crowley learns the altogether less palatable lesson that truths should be mulched into nothingness when one has the chance, lest they regrow.
I will leave it up to you, dear reader, to decide who is correct.
(aka: post-Apocalypse Crowley finally deals with the issues he's been ignoring for the last 6000 years)

Summary
世人皆知七宗罪。
就好像嫌「原罪」之名還不夠讓人嫌惡，某個惡魔學學者甚至還替每一個原罪安一個代表性惡魔，表達出原罪與惡魔之間的關聯有多麼深厚親愛，人們該多麼努力的鄙之遠之。Crowley雖然不在七宗罪代表惡魔的名單上，但身為墮落的惡魔，他的體內也有七宗罪。
只是和其他惡魔不同的是，他用自己的想像力在腦袋裡將這每一宗罪都化成了不同的自己，利用他們，或偶爾與他們對抗。
以比較時髦的現代說法…「多重人格」？
