    Summary

Raffles closed his eyes and swallowed, taking a breath, grimacing. A conflict of emotion battled over his face, and when he opened his eyes they carried a resolute dullness which hurt me more than if he had simply struck me.
‘Bunny,’ he said in a controlled, measured voice, ‘it wasn’t your fault that you heard the conversation you heard, and I’m not cross with you for it, but you really oughtn’t to have heard any of it. And you have no right to ask me any questions about it, do you understand me?’

Young Bunny overhears a conversation never meant for his rabbit ears.

'There's a window just around the corner. When you hear my signal, I need you to drop out this rope,’ he said, pressing said rope into my hands as he explained, ‘just the same as usual, only in a different place. Nothing at all to worry about. Can you do that for me, do you think?’
I nodded. ‘Just like usual. Nothing to worry about.’
    ‘Good chap,’ Raffles grinned.

When a plan of Raffles' goes awry, young Bunny has to think on his feet to save the night.
A schooldays Bunny character study about friendship, hero-worship, and different types of love.

‘A letter!' I cried excitedly. I didn’t often receive letters; my parents never wrote, I had no siblings, and no extended family, and my only friend was Dodo. Well, Dodo was nearly my only friend. I had but one other, and he did, on occasion, write to me...

    Summary

    Dear Bunny
I’m afraid that this letter will never reach you. Letters which aren’t posted, or which, as this one shall be, are posted directly into the lighted fireplace, tend not to reach their intended recipients, except perhaps in fairytales. I'm not in a fairytale. And even if I were, I would certainly play the villain...
