this is literally the funniest shit i've ever read. the dialogue is just MWAH! and we really said fuck john winchester lives w this one (fuck john winchester all my homies hate john winchester). every fic in this series has a good balance between scenes that make u laugh so hard u hurt ur throat and Scenes That Make You Want To Gurgle Cement. sam wanting to be a good straight ally but just committing more microaggressions is point blank screamingly hilarious. by the way cas' character here is perfect. he's an eldritch monster but he's also just a weird lil guy :)

heaven: castiel we need you to look after the michael sword
cas: yeah no problem *cue man_swallowing_a _sword.jpeg*in all seriousness, when i say this is PERFECT s4 deancas i am not at all fucking around!!! also the cas characterization is beyond impressive. like while ur reading all the narration, every detail, every line of dialogue feels so undeniably cas yk? this concept is so unique and fresh and unbelievably well-executed. i mean there was a lot of parts in this fic that changed me as a person and are gonna live in my head rent free for the rest of my life, some of which are -- without spoiling anything: 1.) when dean says "god, u were beautiful" LIKE HELLO? 2.) when cas tells dean smthn like "u will always have all of me in every way i can give" very i will take care of u its rotten work not to me not if its you!!!!! and 3.) the ICONIC line about cas taking what isn't his. absolutely unmatched.

when i tell you that this fic is literally everything i've ever wanted i'm not at ALL joking. the dean voice here is totally complete batshit bonkers. it's about the self-destructive tendencies following the classic dean winchester widow arc! it's about saileen making it alive and happy! it's about tying up the narrative threads into a beautiful, sound, satisfying ending! it's about the DEANCAS of it all. about surviving despite all the odds!!! UGH and the characterization is unreal like i cannot get over it. if u only ever read one spn fic it has to be this one.
