“Lena,” Kara said softly as the light-hearted humour died away, “where are you?”
“I’m…” Lena swallowed thickly, eyes tearing up as she started to feel panic and vulnerability seep out from inside of her. “I’m somewhere I don’t think you should visit.”
“Oh.” Kara whispered dejectedly.
“I mean I don’t think you’ll want to visit.” Lena clarified because the concept of making Kara feel rejected or abandoned was far worse than anything else she could experience.
“If you’re there then-”
“I’m at the Luthor mansion.”

“Two weeks. We were gonna be at the courthouse in two weeks. And if you’re not there, I’ll know, okay? I’m gonna be there cause it’s worth it—we’re worth it. But if you’re not there, I’ll move on, okay? But I’ll be there.” Ava rolls up into a seated position, the room spinning all around her and fumbles for the pen and notebook on her coffee table. The page she’d set up for character notes is completely blank, but it’s whatever. “I’m writing it down now.” Court date = Brooklyn Bridge. Ava nods decisively at the page. “But don’t go to Brooklyn! I’ll be in Vegas. At the courthouse. Yeah.” She waits a beat, then hangs up. Good. Yeah, that was good.

"It’s all fine and well until Kara unties them and, after declaring Cat 'proficient' at belay, announces that it’s her turn to go up the wall. Cat has never been one to admit her weaknesses, has, in fact, spread quite a bit of deliberate misinformation to hide some of them. There’s a reason she never asked for a retraction on that little gossip piece claiming she was training to base jump Mt. Kilimanjaro. Which is how she finds herself tethered to Kara via a complicated system of ropes and knots and locking carabiners, suddenly staring up at a 60’ wall and wondering where she went wrong in life to end up here."
Or the one where Carter gets invited to a birthday party at a rock climbing gym, so obviously Cat needs to go approve the safety measures at the facility first. And really, she's only there to look, not climb. At least until Kara shows up.
