'Dedue left.’ Ashe eventually broke the silence.
‘He did.’ the professor whispered back, looking at him with understanding eyes.
‘Are you going to look for him?’ she asked after a while, seemingly reading his mind. He wondered if her coming here had been a subtle hint from fate itself too.
‘Do you think that is what I should do?’
‘I’m not the one to decide that, Ashe.’ she replied softly. ‘You two seemed close, back then. I just thought…’
‘Yeah.’ he whispered, trying to distract himself by watering the now properly planted seeds. ‘We were.’
'They sure seemed to admire you a lot. “Shall I carry your arrows for you, Arahabaki-sama?”, “Shall I prepare a meal for you once we get back, Arahabaki-sama?” “Shall I kiss your ass Arahabaki-sa--’
‘Shut up!’ the man roared. In the dimly lit tent, there was no mistaking the markings on his skin had indeed started glowing red this time.
‘Mh…now we’re getting somewhere…’ Dazai hummed. ‘Did I hit a nerve, Arahabaki?’
‘Chuuya.’ the man finally breathed out. ‘My name is Chuuya.’
‘So what makes them call you by a different name? Are you deceiving them?’
‘I wish it was that simple…’ he huffed.
Dazai looked at the person in front of him and grinned.
‘I like the name Chuuya much better.’
Or: Dazai tries to kill himself in Chuuya's forest. Chuuya isn't letting it happen.
‘Shut the fuck up.’ Chuuya huffed, though it missed its usual bite.
Dazai only looked at him with a satisfied little grin. ‘Make me.’
So he did.
…by stuffing the brunet’s mouth full with leftover bandages.
(Chuuya knew that was not quite what the other had intended, though to be frank, he couldn’t care less.)
A sappy, fluffy collection of times Dazai and Chuuya had to share a room together, as well as their less fortunate nights spent all alone.
‘Don’t you have something you still want to do? A place you still want to see?’
The boy shrugged. ‘What’s the point if the memory of having done that will only die with me anyway?’
‘There are things I’d like to show you, if you’d let me. Maybe they will change your mind after all. We’re about the same age, right? Maybe we could be friends.’
Chuuya didn’t have many of those himself.
‘Why would you want to be friends with someone who wants to die? I’ll just leave you and make you feel sad again. I’ve done it before.’
Was he talking about a previous friend he’d abandoned? Somehow, the sentence just didn’t make sense to him.
‘Well, we don’t know that unless we try, right?’
‘Is this your first time getting a tattoo?’
‘It is.’ Atsushi confirmed. ‘I’d-…I’d like a scar cover-up.’
Then the boy slowly turned around, and took off his shirt.
Akutagawa’s breath stopped for a good ten seconds.
The scars on this boy’s back spoke of cruelty and torture; revealed the darkest parts of this society on a single human body.
‘Sorry, it’s not quite-…well. I understand if you’d refuse, really…’ Atsushi stammered, turning around.
‘No.’ Akutagawa brought out. ‘I’m going to give you that tattoo.’
Fics that happen in the Bungou Stray Dogs Robot AU
-Soukoku main story
-Shin Soukoku side story (but almost as big as the main story, oops)
Very much angst. Like, a lot of it.
Even though the series is set on "complete" now, I may write more in this series if a new idea pops up into my head. The two main stories have been finished though! Thank you for all the support <3
