Summary
Here, it will be far more straight-forward, like the other couple they heard earlier. The fact that it is Jon who will be loving her will be enough romance for her, she decides.
Jon’s hand breaks free from hers as he suddenly darts a few feet away, stoops here and there and then returns.
“Here,” he murmurs, pressing something into her hands. “They’re nothing much but…they’re for you.”
Under the moonlight, she sees and thinks her heart may expand beyond the confines of her chest.
Romance lives even here beyond the Wall. Not in grand gestures but in small and quiet ones that come from the heart. If it were day, she would sing.

Summary
Tonight, the great hall is silent, almost deathly so, as the snow falls outside. The howling winds, like unsettled spirits, are all he can hear.
Sansa may be queen but she was his big sister first. She is also the closest thing to a living mother he has. He’s never said that to her and he doesn’t know that he will. She’s going to be a mother and not to him.
(He thinks she might know how he feels about her and hopes she never knows of the pangs of envy he’s felt regarding the babe in her belly.)

Summary
On those nights, Rickon feels like a child of eight, not a man grown. On those nights, he seeks out Sansa, a tolerable replacement for the mother he lost, the one he barely remembers now, though that is not in his conscious thoughts.
She lets him lie in her bed. She will stroke his hair softly and sing. He's never told her but he likes that. It makes him feel safe and loved and like he still has a mother who isn't a faded memory.
“Rickon? What are you doing in here?”
He scowls at the deep voice even though he loves him.
“What are you doing in here?!” he asks sharply in reply to Jon’s question, the petulance plain in his tone.
