Summary
The night of the Orpheum is a night of endings and new beginnings.
When the boys talk to Rose after sound check, she warns them against getting hot dogs from down the street and invites them to dinner with her and her boyfriend instead. Even though Luke doesn't appreciate the way Reggie can't seem to decide which of the two he'd like to steal from the other (not that he ever actually would do that), they both seem nice enough - and Ray even offers to help them out with a few new pictures for their tour posters.
Luke doesn't even know what's coming.
(aka my elaborate excuse to put reggie peters into a wedding dress)

Summary
Julie is so caught up in her brooding on the way from the bus stop back to the building and up to the third floor that she almost misses the note and the can sitting in front of her door. When she sees it, she frowns, confused, and goes to pick it up. Maybe a belated welcome from the neighbours? Or a prank from some kid?
The first few lines are illegible, but the note starts over in a neater font a little lower down. (Note, she thinks, is quite the understatement. It’s more of a three-page letter in hilariously big-lettered writing.)
or: Julie struggles settling into her new home, even weeks after moving in, but when her dorky upstairs neighbours stumble into her life with canned soup and music and laughter, they sure make things a lot easier.

They walk up the main road, Stede chewing the inside of his lip. He doesn’t see any heads turn to follow them or anyone do a double take like they immediately recognize him or think they’re seeing a ghost, so that’s something, at least. Is it a good something? Stede doesn’t know.
“Stede,” Ed mutters in his ear, leaning closer as they walk. “Breathe.”
Stede releases a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding, then turns to smile gratefully at Ed. “Sorry,” he replies, sheepish. “I’m a little nervous.”

Stede returns to Barbados with Ed in tow. Stede has trouble communicating, until he doesn't.

He does not get an immediate response. Stede, being a bit one-track minded, is still squinting in confusion and distress at the vessel. Edward cannot fathom anything that would be mind boggling and upsetting all in equal measure, until Stede confirmed what he is seeing with an exhaled name.
“...Mary?”
What. No, genuinely. What? Mary… the wife? Mary, of the Bonnet variety? Mary, the woman who Edward distinctly remembers Stede mentioning as part of the reason he left him behind? That Mary?
After tenuously making up and healing their relationship, Ed and Stede spot a vessel in need on the horizon.
Stede never had expected to watch the love of his life and his former wife meet.

After saving half his crew from a deserted island, Stede has heard the most troubling gossip. Ed, going on a rampage and sinking ships? Not even bothering to loot them? He knows they didn't part on the best terms, but something must be amiss. He resolves to go and confront the great Blackbeard himself, hoping he doesn't get sunk in the process.

Following his fake death, Stede finds the Revenge abandoned on a small island. He soon realises Ed and his crew have been captured by bounty hunters, and must stage an escape before a vengeful figure from Ed's past executes them all.
Ed is far from grateful for the rescue. But even though the terrifying persona of 'Blackbeard' has everyone convinced, Stede knows better.
