Desmond should be dead. But he's not. He's also got markings kinda like Isu in nature on his body, which is kinda weird. He can also teleport and time travel, which is really weird.
Well, when you got god powers and several shitty lives you can make better, why not make due?

When Desmond wakes up from what he thought was his death - like he wasn’t coming back from the Temple, guys, what the hell - he is promptly introduced to a small group of people with the same problem. Gift? Problem-Gift?
After saving the world, Desmond is given a fresh start, away from the Assassins and Templars. Except it comes with a new gig, new people to kill, and new ways to die. Desmond is disappointed to say the least. Of course, it’s not a party until Abstergo finds out he’s still alive - which becomes a problem for everyone.

The Old Guard has been around for a very long time.
It’d stand to reason that they’d have encountered beings long forgotten. What Nile doesn’t understand is why no one bothered to tell her.
Various snippets of the Old Guard being a little less than human, with copious crossovers because I have no self control.

This is a fic that explores the possible outcome if #teamironman had lost Civil War. This is in no way actually an accurate description of how the law works, but this universe has aliens, sorcerers and all that stuff. It isn't meant to be realistic in any way.
Honestly, press f for team cap in this fic.
Don't like, don't read.
