    Yelena turned and walked toward the door of Kate’s room, careless, like she had no qualms about a counter-attack; like nothing Kate could do would ever pose a threat to her.

    Wait, no. What? No. Yelena didn’t have friends – isn’t that what she just told Kate?

    Dying with nobody wasn’t a cool way to die but surviving and losing everybody was a worse way to live.

    No getting attached meant having nothing to lose. Simple as that.

    OR Yelena happens to find Kate in a bit of a bind and grapples with her confusing feelings towards her after a bomb sort of explodes on them. Later chapters are set after this event, because Kate and Yelena just can't seem to stay away from each other
