It is not quite a meditation but it’s the best he can manage. It does not calm him. All he can see in front of him is Jiang Wanyin’s face, murderously angry, and Sandu so close that he can feel it slice through the air next to him.
He picks up Bichen and runs his fingers over its hilt.

So Wei Ying was right, this was about the rules. But there was not a single rule that he thought was worth sacrificing human lives to uphold.
