Summary
John, an incredibly rare and valuable Omega locked in culture that controls and pacifies them, has almost given up. But, a chance registration on a DNA database gets him thrust into the middle of the Atlantis Expedition. A broken and traumatized John still fighting, a society that can't accept the truth and Rodney who just doesn't care what John is so long as he can make Atlantis light up.
Note: This story is heavy on the hurt/comfort, deals with dark issues and dubious/non-consent and includes short flashbacks to traumatic events. Also features medical inaccuracies, societal injustice, institutional slavery (kinda) and lots of John!Whump, later to feature Bamf!john. Also it's pretty kinky in a dark way.

Also frankly rediculous amounts of seriously Hardcore Caretaking, medical care, trauma recovery, overprotectiveness and D/s. Against all expectations, this fic has actually developed into something truely loving and hurt/comforty, just stick with it past the first chapter. -
