“Tragic,” Nino deadpanned, not sounding at all sympathetic to Félix’s plight.
“Please,” Félix said, trying to make the word sound less forced than it was. He hated more than anything to ask for help, but he didn’t really have a choice. “It’s the only way I can get her to leave me alone—”
“Is it though?” Nino asked incredulously. “Because Bridgette is cool, and I feel like if you were just straight up with her about everything she’d leave you alone.”
“I have been,” Félix ground out. He took a deep breath, trying to keep his temper in check. He was supposed to be asking for help, after all. “I’ve always made my lack of interest in Bridgette clear, I’ve never encouraged her advances, or reacted positively to them. I have rejected every confession she’s made. Even coming out to her, while something I hadn’t intended to do, is an honest reason for my lack of interest. But she still hasn’t given up so please, Nino, please pretend to be my boyfriend so she’ll finally leave me alone.”

Summary
Félix never wanted to go to school, but now that he's here, he's decided to keep going. School makes it easier to slip away for his duties as Chat Noir, so it's only logical. His decision certainly isn't related to his attractive classmate, or her never ending kindness, or her endearing awkwardness. And anyone who says otherwise will suddenly find himself without a steady supply of Camembert.
Marinette has a problem. As Ladybug, it's important to keep her identity secret above all else. Even if that means that she can never tell her partner how she really feels about him, and that she has to keep her crush a secret from her friends, which is easier said than done. Following her heart has never been such a challenge, and anyone who argues will have to deal with mini chocolate chips in her cookies.

Summary
The list of things in Night Vale worthy of study is long, and part of Carlos’ work in this strange desert community is deciding what takes precedence. With the impossible seismology, apparently psychotropic sandstorms, fake clocks, and whatever those deer are, there's just not enough time to cover everything.
Also, call it an oversight, a budgetary limitation, or Carlos having seven degrees in natural sciences and none in social sciences, but studying the actual societal structure of Night Vale and its... peculiarities hasn't been a priority.
Six months in Night Vale to the day, he's going to wish he'd taken the time.
The AU in which A/B/O exists... but only in Night Vale. And after six months of residency, the scientists have just officially become citizens.
