Toni had spent her life being shuffled from one foster home to the next until finally landing at her current placement, which was nearly worse than all the other homes she was placed. Only, she couldn't fight and misbehave her way out of this one because her next stop was a group home miles away from her life.
To make matters worse, she had been assigned desk partners with the most irritating girl in junior year. Toni later finds out that maybe there is more to Shelby Goodkind than meets the eye.
