"Who knew that the Avengers could throw such a rager? Well, we all knew Ironman could but he wasn’t here last night so we thought… I mean, even without him we had to kick out a few people.” The hotel receptionist chatted softly as she dug around in her desk.
“The Avengers?” Bucky practically squeaked.
“Oh yes, I mean, that was the only party here last night. That must have been the one you went to, right?” The receptionist stopped and gave him a questioning look.
Bucky and his unit hadn’t just crashed a fancy party.
They had crashed a fancy party hosted by the fucking Avengers.

After Avengers movie night falls through again Clint drags Sam and Steve to a local dive bar for some trivia.
Run by a super-smart, extra salty vet with a cyborg arm and his equally snarky sister, trivia soon becomes Steve's new obsession. Only because he wants to win though.
It has nothing, NOTHING to do with the stormy gray eyes of his host, or the thick framed glasses the man wears, or even the fact that his cheekbones make Steve's fingers itch for a pencil.
It's just a friendly game of bar trivia...right?

Steve Rogers and The Winter Soldier meet for the first time in 2014 during the canon divergence events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
It starts like this: this is how they fall in love.
(C13: They’re still fighting, Iron Man and Captain America.
Wanda feels it. They seem nice to each other, but Steve is still mad at Tony, and Tony is still mad at everything.
She thinks that Steve has a right to be mad at Tony, because what he did was stupid, but staying mad this long is even more stupid, because they’re friends.
She tells that to the Vision, who nods and says, “I agree. The Captain and Sir have gone through a lot of battles before, it would be a shame for this to split them apart.”
“At least they’re not fighting over a book,” Wanda says.
“Yes,” the Vision says, “that would be terrible. Tear-rible. Like the pun. Do you know what puns are? I’ve been doing some reading.”)
