    Summary

The boy straightens up. He’s about half a head shorter than Katsuki, face soft and youthful and sweet. He turns to look at him properly. His dark hair shines in the dying light, basket of blooms looped over one arm and mouth quirked into a tiny half-smile. The sun hits his face and makes his eyes a bright greeny-gold, just like emeralds.

    Katsuki likes emeralds.

“Pretty,” he says, reaching out and picking the stranger up around the middle. He’s surprisingly heavy, although Katsuki doesn’t mind. “I like you. Come see my nest.”

    The boy hits him.

He’s stronger than he looks, turns out. Katsuki drops him and falls onto his back, pain blooming across his face. Birds sing. The sky’s a lovely shade of orange, clouds floating lazily by. The boy scarpers. He leaves his basket of flowers behind, footsteps thumping on the ground and fading away as he escapes.

The sun sets. Katsuki, lying flat on his back with a bloody nose, decides he’s just fallen in love.

    Summary

Bakugou Katsuki is fine. He is fine. Sure, he has nightmares every time he close his eyes. Sure, he hasn't had more than 4 hours of sleep a night in 6 years. Sure, he spirals in his head a lot. Sure, he spends an hour every day just sitting with a gravestone and maybe sometimes hears that voice. But he's fine. Because he can fucking deal with it.

And when his stupid friends want to go to a haunted house for a Youtube video, he's going with them. Because he's not afraid of ghosts, he's not afraid of monsters, he's not afraid of the dark, and he's not afraid of that stupid house. Not anymore.

    Right?

    Summary

“I’m going to suggest something that you won’t like.”

Gavin grinds his teeth, “That’s how most of our conversations go, tin man.”

Snow begins falling, slowly. It collects on the tops of Connor shoulders, hides in the dark strands of his hairs. Balances delicately on his eyelashes as he stares at Gavin. He’s tall, resolute, unwavering.

    OR

The one where Captain Fowler gives Gavin an ultimatum: He can go to therapy and figure his shit out or hand over his badge. It's just Gavin's luck that as soon as his stubborn ass gives in and goes to a session, his life spins out of control. Featuring: being forced to partner with Hank Anderson and Connor on a major case affecting humans and androids, family that he doesn't want to talk to, asshole FBI agents, a stray cat that won't leave him alone, fighting with Connor, worrying about Connor and maybe, sort of, a little bit liking Connor.

    Summary

“So as long as it’s not the face, it’s fine, huh?” Reed says. His free hand is suddenly on Connor’s neck, fingers soft against the line of his jaw, and the press of skin is hot. He lets it trail down the front of the CyberLife coat, and Connor can’t stop the shiver of his plates as they respond to the light pressure. “I’ve heard that before.”

(Connor is forced to work with Gavin on the deviancy case when Hank is injured and relegated to two weeks of desk duty.)

    Summary

Connor could fill a book with the things he doesn't know. One of Hank’s big, thick paperbacks, pages worn with age, covers creased and coffee-stained.

"What?" Hank grouses once, when he catches him looking. "They’re well-loved, at least."

Connor looks at himself, smooth plastic and pressed clothes. No creases, no stains.
